fix can also be used as a tool with chalk pastels .. building color , and
allowing for dramatic images. most will darken the pigment though. hair
spray does work though. and inexpensive!!!

i still disagree that fixative is nessisary for oil pastel.... but then
again i never tryed. wouldnt it be like putting fixative on an oil painting?
