Hey everyone - what are your doing for the memorial day weekend?

Will you be traveling? Have anything exciting or fun planned?

1) Rejoice always, Pray continually, Give thanks in all circumstances,
For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ( I Thessalonians
5:16-18 NIV )

2) ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we
call them FRIENDS......

3) Just because you're in pain, doesn't mean you have to be one!

11:16 PM I know I will not be traveling Donna. I will be spending a
nice, I hope, quiet day at my apartment. I love nice quiet days now, no
matter what the day is.

I left early Monday for another city for a Cousins Funeral. Was to be
back home early evening and didn't get home until Tuesday Morning at
3:40 AM. We did lots of driving takeing care of Family things and
visiting. My Body is still makeing me pay for that. Moe

It looks as if I will be spending a quiet Memorial Day at home also. I
will try to remember what the day is for and remember my husband (died
in 1994 from service connected problems) and all the veterans and those
still active.

I know what you mean by those unexpected twangs from different
challenges. Mine came from sitting for two hours or maybe a bit more,
on elementary school picnic type tables and seats through an honors'
banquet for the three grades that are doing dance, including my second
youngest granddaughter. Now I know where they get that "music?" that
they play on the telephone while you are on hold. :-) She is doing
four different types of dancing, including modern. Her cousin, my
youngest granddaughter at 4-1/2 is doing ballet and tap. She was picked
from some auditions they held early last winter for the Nutcracker. She
and about 10 other 4-5 year olds were cherubs in the ballet. I will
tell you one thing, ballet is a lot quieter than jazz!

HEARTS AND HANDS

May our hearts remember,
but not ache as much as
our arms and legs do;
God bless the children,
parents and spouses, as
they sit in empty houses.

Youch! Sitting on those types of seats can be miserable!

Glad, though, that you were able to get out for a bit and enjoy your
grand daughters concerts.

Oh, Moe, sorry to hear of your loss!

I sure understand what you are talking about when you say it is nice
just to have a restful quiet day!

Blessings,

I went to my grandson's graduation from middle school. They used the
bleachers in the gym for it. Thank goodness I had my walker with the seat!

I was just at one of my niece's high school graduation ceremony. It
also was held in the high school gym, but they had folding chairs set
up in a section for the disabled and also an area for wheel chairs, etc.
Fairly comfortable, thank goodness.

The only folding chairs I saw were the ones the graduates were sitting
on. Actually, folding chairs and I do not fit together. It would have
been nice to see a disabled section with chairs, as well as one for
wheelchairs. I guess they are a little bit more aware of those
different needs.
