7:49PM Evening Donna.. I hope you are having a fairly good weekend
painwise, and other wise.. Diane I hope things are going as well as can
be expected with you, and you are having a good weekend.
Today was Vampire day for me.. My standing Lab order
visit.. there was 5 people ahead of me today and I was there just a
little after 8AM.. they do no open until 8am.. Didn't take long after
Registration was completed.. My Coach waited for me today.. First time
this one has been sent to take me. I will be so glad when the Neph
stops these Lab works.. I came home and then called a cab to go to the
Post Office to get my Mail and pay my PO box fee that was due.
My Neuropathy was acting up today.. While waiting in the
Lab waiting area my left foot kept being more painful.. Not a good
feeling, especially when so many other different pains are having a
field day with me..
Nice day here today. high was 88. It has been droping
for the last few hours. It was sunny and breezy.. The winds were about
14 MPH.. Rain has been predicted for tonight.. Moe

LOL......Moe, I think we've all experienced that type of thing. Webtv
can get a little cranky on us at times. No problem.

Today was a gorgeous day outside today. In the 70's and lots of sun.

Had a fairly decent day. Cooked up 5 pounds of hamburger and froze it
in 1 pound packages, so when I need it for recipes, I can just pull it
out and thaw it and it is ready to go.

Pain is doing better, thank heavens, as the 7 weeks of misery with my
back was a bit much. Back still lets me know it is there, but no where
near as bad as it was. Go in for the second injection at the pain
clinic in about 3-4 weeks.

Sorry, Moe, to hear you are having such a rough time with the
neuropathy. I know Pam suffers with that mightily too. Shame they
can't figure out something to treat it better or even cure it! Can't
imagine dealing with that all the time. Sure hope it eases up for you
soon!

I have my vampire day on tuesday this coming week and this is the one I
do about every 6 months where they draw a ton of different labs, so they
take so many tubes of blood. I always tell them to leave a little for
me! lol

Tuesday is going to be a long day, as it is my regular volunteer day and
then I go to get my labs drawn and then 2 doctors visits and a meeting
with the social worker to deal with some bills and such! Oh joy! lol

Pray you both have a great weekend and have beautiful weather to enjoy
and maybe take a minute or two for yourselves and get out and sit and
relax and take in nature! It's good for the soul!

BTW, Moe, how often do you have to get labs for the nephrologist?

I get labs drawn every month for my rheumatologist and for my
immunologist because of the CVID.

Thankfully, I have a port, so it is usually quick and easy.

1:51PM Afternoon Donna G.. I have monthly Labs done.. Every three months
is the big one, as I refer to them.. Each Month, depending on who does
the drawing, from 2 to 3 Vials are drawn.. Every three Months they draw
4 to 5 Vials.. I ask all the time how do they expect my count to go up
when they keep taking my blood from me.. I know it is important to keep
check on the spillage, or the highs, or lows on everything, plus I have
Thalassemia too.. I think that I have posted before that I have a Rare
CKD.. Moe

Yeah, Moe, I do remember you mentioning that you had CKD. I'm sure that
has to be challenging to deal with, especially all the restrictions that
go with kidney disease.

I think we must be a rare bunch! : ))

I have a rare immune deficiency and it sure keeps things interesting and
keeps the doctors on their toes dealing with it all.

The blood draw I have coming up on tuesday, they usually take 12-13
vials. I make sure I drink plenty of fluids following that blood draw!
lol

Morning Moe. I'm so sorry your neuropathy was acting up. :-( Also sorry
you had vampire day. I hate vampire day too. Your weather sounds nice
though. No more cold temps for you especially at night, eh? Sorry I took
so long getting back to you. I've been feeling really exhausted for the
past few days and don't know why. I think the CFS returned with a
vengeance. It went away, somehow, for quite a few months, but it has to be
back now because there really isn't any reason for me to feel so tired all
the time. You have a nice day Moe and an pain-free as it can be. Take care
and thank you for thinking of me. :-)

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Morning Donna. I'm so glad your temps have been nice and that you had a
good day the other day. :-) Sorry about your vampire day though. :-( I
also hate vampire day. It hurts and they take so many vials of blood. LOL
@ you for saying, leave some for me! I said that a few times too. I'm so
glad that your back feels better too. We've had some pretty decent weather
here too and have been taking real long walks in the woods. So nice to feel
warmth and sun again. It's already around 54 and it's only 9:00 a.m. Temps
are supposed to be 68-72 this afternoon. Yayyy! LOL We have to go get
pics of me for my Canadian Passport this morning and then grocery shopping
this afternoon. GP appt. on May 1. I'll let you know what he says. I'm
sure he has the results of the MRI I went for about two weeks ago. Have a
wonderful, pain-free day as much as you can. Thanks for thinking of me.
:-)

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Moe, I have Thalassemia too!!! Mine is Minor. Yours must be too, eh? I'm
Italian and I got it from my Dad. Are you Italian by any chance? Just
wondering. I feel so bad for you that you need all those blood tests so
often. :-( I hope you start to feel better real soon with the nice weather
coming. I also hate it when they take so much blood from me. Take care,
please.

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Oh Donna, you poor, poor thing!!!! :-( And here I am complaining about 5-7
vials when you have much more taken out than I do. :-( Yes, drink plenty
of liquids. That's very important and try to eat right too, which you
probably do already. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Take care of
yourself.

Gentle hugs,

Diane
