The sun is shining here and the birds are chirping their happy songs out
there.

What's on your agenda for today?

Praying you all have a wonderful day, no matter what it is you are

And a fine good morning to you.

After a stormy, spring night it's a lovely morning here.
And ~ remarkably low pain one at that.

I'll take advantage of that for as long as it lasts and get some chores
done.

Hope you gals are able to have a good day as well.

Oooo :-(
Bummer about you're feeling so foul.

Maybe you'll begin to feel better as the day goes on.

Good luck, in any case.

Thank you so much Dorothy. You're so kind. :-) I've been in pain off and
on for a few days now. My husband, Don, and I have come to the conclusion
that I have a circulation problem also. He called 911 yesterday and the
EMTs checked everything they could on me in our condo because I REFUSE to go
to the ER here because of the way I've been treated there before. Still
waiting for my GP's office to call me back so I can see him. Anyway, the
EMTs said it was a circulation problem even before we told them that we also
thought it was. I'm okay. The ambulance is right down the street from us
and I'm not worried about a heart attack or anything. One weird thing that
happened yesterday, though, was that my bp went up very high. It NEVER did
that and I'm 60 now. It was always spot on normal, except for the last few
months where it has been low. Weird, eh? I'll keep you posted when I can
find out what's been going on with me besides sciatica and OA. Thanks
again. You take care.

Thank you so much Moe! You are so very sweet and kind to me. I really
appreciate the prayers. I am so sad, depressed and exhausted. I found out
last night that my young, new GP dumped me! His letter should be arriving
either today or tomorrow. :-(((( I don’t know what to do now. I have a
bad migraine right now too. Sorry for complaining again. I'll let you know
what happens as soon as I can. There was no reason why my BP would've gone
up that hgh. I wasn't anxious or anything that day, just in pain and
disgusted with everything, but also not hyper, etc. Just weird. You take
good care of yourself, Moe.

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Being in pain often raises ones blood pressure, so not uncommon to see
that happen at all.

Hope the doctor recommends some to see and follow with.

Oh, did not know this Donna! Thank you so much. I've learned many useful
things from you and others here too. I really appreciate it. My young, new
GP dropped me! Don't know why, but we're both saddened and depressed by it.
Be careful with any kind of doctors because IF you have any anxiety
disorder, mental illnesses, etc., most of them will not either believe you,
help you or drop you. :-( The only doctor appt. I have now is with the
internist on June 5th. Hopefully, he will not drop me too. He'll be giving
me the results of my chest x-ray and blood tests. I'll keep you updated.
Thanks again. You are soooo kind.

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Diane,

Until you know exactly what is going on with your new doctor, don't jump
to conclusions or make assumptions!

There are a million reasons why the doctor may have had to drop you.

Most doctors are very use to caring for patients with anxiety and
depression, so don't think that would be the reason.

Don't start imagining all kinds of things until you get the details and
know for sure. Seriously! You'll only drive yourself to more anxiety
doing that.

I hope you are following someone (psychiatrist, psychologist, social
worker, etc) for your anxiety and getting help for those issues, as
there is no reason to suffer needlessly and endlessly with those issues,
either.

Wait until you get the full details from the doctor before assuming
things and in the meantime, ask around to friends, and any one else you
know, as to who they see, whether they like who they see, and what they
like about their doctor that they are seeing. This should help some in
searching for a new doctor.

If you are seeing other specialists, ask them, also, who they recommend.
Most are willing to give you 2-3 names of someone they would recommend.

Try to just relax and enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend and you can
deal with all of this again next week!

Oh don’t worry Donna. I pray often. :-) I even prayed for this new GP
that dumped me. I'll answer your other reply to me. Thank you. You're so
kind.

Diane,

Until you know exactly what is going on with your new doctor, don't jump
to conclusions or make assumptions!

It's a bit of a long story, Donna, but his night recep told my husband, Don,
that the letter was sent to me and it gave no reason why. Haven't received
the letter yet. We were in the process of finding things out about my
symptoms so there is no reason for him to suddenly dump me EXCEPT that I
called his recep last week for an appt. to please see him because of the
bluing fingernails, etc. I called her back on Tues. and asked again for an
appt. She fairly sarcastically asked me why I didn't go to someone else or
to the ER if I have those problems. I reminded her that I told her last
week that I refused to go to the ER because of the way I was treated there
more than a few times because of my anxiety. She told me on Tues. that she
would speak to him and call me back. No call. So Don called last night and
got the night recep who told him about the *dumping* letter. I'll find
someone else. Don't worry. Right now we're both very tired and disgusted.
We don't drive, have a car, have to walk, take senior center van and pay
which is not as much as a taxi and this is why we have a hard time finding
me a good GP and/or specialist. Don is sick and tired of this town, but we
cannot afford to move. :-( We both think that his daytime recep got angry
with me for refusing to go to the ER and complained to him about me and
that's why I'll be getting that letter. This doesn't go on in ALL the
cities and provinces in Canada, but it sure does happen here often enough.
Trust me. Don was born here and lived here a long time before he moved to
Toronto. He didn't want to move back here partly because of this with the
doctors here, but we had no choice.

There are a million reasons why the doctor may have had to drop you.

No reason stated in the letter according to his recep.

Most doctors are very use to caring for patients with anxiety and
depression, so don't think that would be the reason.

Believe me, Donna, we both have been here long enough to know that many of
the doctors here do not believe you or even take you on as a patient when
you have anxiety. And I'm not saying that my GP is dropping me *because* I
have anxiety. I'm just saying I've been talked to very rudely by some
doctors because of the anxiety issue. Read above about what I said
regarding his daytime recep. This is what both Don and I believe happened.

Don't start imagining all kinds of things until you get the details and
know for sure. Seriously! You'll only drive yourself to more anxiety
doing that.

I hope you are following someone (psychiatrist, psychologist, social
worker, etc) for your anxiety and getting help for those issues, as
there is no reason to suffer needlessly and endlessly with those issues,
either.

Yes, please don't worry about that. We both go to a very nice and
understanding pdoc. Our former one semi-retired and referred us to him. We
will both tell him this Mon. what happened with my GP.

Wait until you get the full details from the doctor before assuming
things and in the meantime, ask around to friends, and any one else you
know, as to who they see, whether they like who they see, and what they
like about their doctor that they are seeing. This should help some in
searching for a new doctor.

I've already done this and there aren't many good GP's in this area who are
accepting new patients. This is the problem here and always has been,
unfortunately.

If you are seeing other specialists, ask them, also, who they recommend.
Most are willing to give you 2-3 names of someone they would recommend.

I'm going to do just that when we see my internist on June 5th. Not only
that, but we'll be walking down the street to the clinic next week and ask
if there's a GP there who is willing to accept me as a new patient. And you
bet I will be asking if that person would believe what I tell him/her about
my symptoms even though I am an anxiety sufferer because I do not want to go
through this again! Enough is enough! I'm not mad or yelling at you, but I
had to write that. There are so many narrow-minded doctors here you just
can't imagine it. :-(

Try to just relax and enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend and you can
deal with all of this again next week!

We don't celebrate the holiday here and I don't personally celebrate it, but
we are doing our best to relax today and will continue to do that for the
next few days. :-) Thanks again for listening to me. I wish you were here
so you could actually see and here what goes on with these kinds of doctors.
It's really a shame and very, very sad. The mentally ill, etc., are treated
sooo unfairly by these so-called professionals. That's enough venting for
one day. :-) You take care of yourself, Donna. You don't need my pain and
aggravation on top of yours.

Gentle hugs,

Diane

Hi girl,
Be sure to hang on to that letter.
I know they have lawyers word things for them to prevent any
"unfortunate" and possibly litigious phrases,
but it's good to have evidence of any reasons he might have given.

There are so many things that can spike BP.

If any of your arthritis involves your neck, there could be *atlas*
irritation.
Atlas is around the cervical area, C1, that holds up your head.
"where is the cervical area C1?"
C1 is the topmost vertebra. Along with C2, it attaches the skull to
the spine.

So ~ some theorize that it could be related to more than just headaches.

Hope you find someone soon who knows what's what.

And DO keep praying.
Couldn't hurt.

Dorothy

Thanks so much Dorothy. I do pray and I cry and pray and cry, especially
lately. The crying, I mean. The praying, I've always done. :) I have OA
of the neck and back so you are right! Migraines, headaches and occipital
headaches are returning. Yes, I will be framing that letter. LOL
Seriously, I intend on keeping it always and also showing it to my pdoc to
see what he thinks about it. According to his recep, there was no reason in
the letter, but we'll see when it gets here. Don is Canadian and said that
there is probably nothing we can do about it anyway, especially because we
cannot afford a lawyer at all. If we could afford it, we would move back to
Toronto and get some good doctors for a change, but we can't. Trying to
take it one day at a time, but it's hard because I can't keep from crying at
times and it affects my husband too. He suffers from depression when he
sees me cry or in pain. He also has some anxiety, so it's been really hard
on him. Thank you. I hope we can find somebody to help me. I'll always
keep you guys updated. Hang in there too. :)

Gentle hugs,

Diane
