How is the knees and ankle doing?
How are you healing from the surgery?
Did you ever find out what is causing the wacko blood work levels?
How is the Russian Gentlemen that got hit by the trash truck doing?
Any luck with getting your meds covered so you don't have to pay the
outrageous prices?
When do you leave to go to family New Years party?

Whew, SJ, that's a lot of questions - how in the heck do you remember
all that stuff?! LOL

Let's see:

1) The russian man that was hit by the garbage truck here, passed
away. He actually passed away about the same time Kellys friend did.
So very tragic and so sad. I feel so bad for his wife.

2) Haven't really figured out the whole medication thing completely
right now, but my doctors are aware and are really working with me. My
lung doctor said he will just get me samples of my inhaler that I won't
be able to afford and will do that for as long as I need him to. I may
have found a program to help me with the inhaler, which would be
helpful. My nexium I will likely have to come off of and buy over the
counter prilosec when I can afford it and probably just use tums or
mylanta when I can't afford the prilosec. My other meds my pcp has
worked something out for me for about 6-8 months which should give us
enough time to think this all through more carefully and thoroughly.
Truly I am blessed with incredibly compassionate doctors. My pcp was so
angry when I told him what was going on. I'm sure they hear this a lot
though. The antibiotic ear drops I usually have to use for the many ear
infections I get, we're not sure about yet. May be able to find
something that I can possibly get for $4 from wal mart!

3) PCP said the whacko blood work is primarily from the vitamin D and
vitamin A deficiencies, so need to work on those and hopefully
everything else will even out. Will recheck in a couple of months.

4) Knees are doing horrible, really they both need to be replaced, but
I'm just not quite ready to take that plunge yet. Ortho said they both
looked really bad.

5) Will head up to be with family for our holiday celebration together
later this week.

6) Healing from surgery is a bit slow. Saw ortho last week - right at
the 4 week mark. He said 4 more weeks in the cast. 2 weeks full time
in cast, then 2 weeks of taking it off for very short periods of time to
do some range of motion stuff. He will see me again in 4 weeks to
reevaluate. Still have a fair amount of swelling, especially in the mid
fore arm where he worked on that nerve and that area also still gets
quite uncomfortable if I take the cast off for short period of time to
take shower, etc. He said he still didn't want me to do any
keyboarding, so am still typing one handed and taking many breaks to
type something lengthy

Thanks SJ for checking up on so many when you are trying to get ready to
move and I'm sure a bit over whelmed too!

1.) ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we
call them FRIENDS......

2.) May God's richest blessings be
upon you both today and
throughout the year.
May His blessings flow through
you to touch the lives of
everyone you meet.

sorry about so many questions but I am so behind on everyone lately.

I keep emails to remind me of what to pray for. I haven't gotten my prayer
list updated lately so am trying little by little to do it now.

Sorry to hear about the russian man. I was so hoping he would make it
through it.

I sure hope it works out for you with the meds. I hope they can get the
vitamin D and A things straightened out for you.

I hope you can soon get those knees done.

You have a safe trip there and back and enjoy which I am sure you will.

I hope you start healing a bit faster.

Your welcome. It helps me keep my mind off my own stuff to think of others.
Yeah it is overwhelming at times. It would have been nice if we would have
had some help. I just pulled my shoulder blade out of place again, it is not
like all this moving things around and packing stuff up. That is why it is
taking us a long time along with the sales and such to get rid of alot of
stuff. But little by little we are doing it. We are planning to move out the
weekend of the 9th and 10th if possible. Trying now to find out if we will
have any help. I can't keep doing this much longer.

You certainly are able to type quite correctly with just one hand.
Congratulations on that.

I am so sorry to hear about the Russian man. It must be especially hard on
his wife.

Sounds like you're doing ok on the medicines. At least you have them pretty
much figured out. Good for the lung doctor. It is amazing how many of them
will help if they know their help is needed.

God bless.
