Thank you for all your support throughout the year and for sharing your
great wealth of experiences, experience, thoughts, and wealth of
information. I even get support from some of the ideas that come from our
drop in (always about this time of the year too - did you notice that)
visitors. It is the support that there are always needier people than me in
the world and that it takes all kinds of information and we have to weed out
the stuff that works for us from the stuff that people want to cram down our
throats. I didn't want to name names for that little message - their egos
are big enough already.
I have received so many cards and it has cheered up my mantle. Thanks to
all of you. I know many did not get to participate or life gets in the
way - both money and situations. To you I send a very special
Christmas/Holiday greeting. I hope that your break was good.
To a very better 2010 everyone and a thank you for all the advances in meds
that have allowed so many friends not to be on the group all the time. What
a blessing. There are still advances coming down the tube everyone. We are
the next group only dropping in once in a while. Wouldn't it be nice to
rename this alt.support.those you used to have arthritis

Your Christmas card had the prettiest envelope with it. Thank you.

One thing you have taught me is in any good day or situation to enjoy
and be grateful, and on any bad day or place to look for something
good to appreciate, or at least think about something good and be
grateful I can do that.
Easy at the moment, two year old granddaughter is at my feet playing
with this years Christmas Cards. Its a good day. (Even if she did
keep me from sleeping most of last night)

Advances in drugs seems to be the only cure most
people consider.
I used to have arthritis-
I have found out what not to eat and what not
to do, and surprise, surprise, the advice in
the Bible is right on.
Eating our fellow creatures- not only eating them
but enslaving whole species and raising them in
horrible conditions before we eat them, and having
more than one sexual partner, are both eschewed
in the Bible.
It was after Christ was crucified that Peter had
his dream that it was all right to eat the animals.
He was wrong.
The right diet can cure arthritis.
That means don't drink Bossy's calf's milk-
don't eat Bossy's calf- don't eat Bossy's siblings-
etc etc etc
Look at what we are doing, people.
We are monsters.
We deserve to get arthritis because of our
insensitivity to other
living things.

Just speak for yourself John. You have foamed at the mouth enough in
this newsgroup and most people here will or would consider you a troll.
Any way it goes,,,, no one gives a dam what you think or why you think it.
Over the years we have had a half dozen people to tell us its all about
diet,,,,, WRONG.....
Go away before someone considers you a fool.

For all those interested in the causes of RA and AS I would highly
recommend
watching the following
videos
Professor Alan Ebringer on Diet and Ankylosing Spondylitis
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFFmqH66ORM
and
Professor Alan Ebringer discusses Rheumatoid Arthritis
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdDVgpeFazA
These discussions summarise and explain ideas on diet and bacterial
infections
in the causes and development of these rheumatic diseases.

I could not get the sound to come up high enough on the second site, Peter.
I wonder if you would give us your opinion of what was said.
Harv
Hi Harv.
I also found the sound a little difficult.
I must confess to some interest here. I was director of studies and
Ebringer was the supervisor for one of my grad students who worked
with him
on AS in the 80s.
In brief. I think there are still a lot of mysteries, but Ebringer has
managed to link
certain microorganisms and human food to AS and RA. Note, not the the
same organism
in both cases. This provides evidence that these microorganisms (maybe
they are not the only ones) can trigger AS and RA
and that certain carbohydrates in our diet may influence the
pathological events.
Best wishes for 2010.
