Hey Donna,
Sent you a new year's greeting and it bounced. It was to the
DKGBeeker addy and was actually just a reply in a thread we already
have going. Let me know what's up

I could be wrong M, but it seems to me that Donna's family was getting
together over New Year's weekend so you may not get a reply for a
couple of days.

No need to worry!   Here I am!!!

Left last wednesday morning and headed north (5 hour trip) to be with
family for the holidays.   Everyone from the family was there (all 23
of us) and we had an absolute ball!   Just got back home late
yesterday.

I can't even begin to tell you what a blessing it is to have a family
that truly gets along well together and has so much fun together. Oh, we
have our moments, but for the most part we do love each other so much
and have a great time together and the kids have equally as much fun
together, both young and old.

At one point on new years eve ( or should I say new years day since we
all stayed up until
5:00 a.m. laughing, celebrating, and just plain having fun! ) (at 3:00
a.m., we went to the cemetery and said a prayer for my oldest brother
who passed away 4 years ago, then we wished him happy birthday - dec 31
was his birthday) I looked around at everyone having a good time and
said a prayer of thanksgiving for safe travels for everyone, for a close
knit and loving family who knows how to have fun together, and for the
multitude of blessings that our precious Lord bestows upon us so
generously throughout the year!

To try to explain to you just how much fun we had together during those
5 days, I had to take something for a headache 3 nights in a row. The
head aches were from laughing so so hard most of the time we were
together!

Yesterdays trip home was long and had a number of bumps in the road, but
as is so often the case, even in the midst of tears, frustrations and
fears, our heavenly Father sends some angels along to rectify the
situations and fill us to overflowing with thanksgiving and love.

My angels yesterday on the trip home, came in the form of two '20
something' boys who stopped to help me with a problem with my car and
did so with such compassion, such generosity, and with such bright
smiles and good cheer. Thank you Lord!!   They even passed me an hour
or two later on the expressway and took the time to honk and wave and
smile again!

Had an absolute ball with my family and also got some things talked
through with my brothers and sisters in how to move forward with my
parents and their failing health, so was productive as well.

Am happy to be home and am exhausted, but it will be a low key week to
recoup a bit and there will be many smiles and very fond memories of our
time together!

May also take me a bit of time to catch up with my groups, especially
since I still have to type one handed until the cast comes off from my
surgery!

Blessings to you and a most happy new year as well!!!

1.) ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we
call them FRIENDS......

2.) May God's richest blessings be
upon you both today and
throughout the year.
May His blessings flow through
you to touch the lives of
everyone you meet.

Glad to hear it was so much fun and you made it there and back safe. Praise
to those two boys that helped you and to God for sending them. You take care
now.

Thanks SJ!

Wish I would have gotten those boys names that helped me, but hopefully
they know just how very thankful I was to them!
