Hey all,

Just got back from a week's holiday to Surfers Paradise which is in
Queensland, Australia. The weather was warm and a little too humid for my
liking but spent most of the time at the beach so didn't notice it too much.
I was very anxious during the 2 hour plane trip but travelling with my
family really helped. Most plane trips in recent years have been for work so
it was nice to actually be heading for a holiday for a change. It's been 10
years since I've been on a proper summer holiday.

The amazing thing was how low my anxiety levels were. The lack of stress at
work has really helped. Normally blue skies and bright sun are my triggers
for panic but not this time. And to think I tried to avoid this holiday,
even suggesting we cancel only weeks ago.

It was so much fun and relaxing. The sun would rise at 4.45am and was
spectacular to watch. It was so good not to have to make excuses to avoid
going out. I think overall I believed in myself. I kept reminding myself
that I would be fine and I was.

Keep believing you will get better.
One year ago, I was struggling to leave my workplace to have lunch. :)

Last year I went diving in Belize. The meds helped me get certified and get
on the plane and make the trip, but once I got there I couldn't believe how
relaxed I was. First time I ever saw a palm tree without a pot.
