My family is currently dealing with the pain of watching a loved one
succumb to early onset alzheimer's. As a result, we have been driven
to make a difference. We have entered our dog, Maki into the Cutest
Dog Competition (www.cutestdogcompetition.com). When Maki wins, the
family will donate 100% of the net proceeds to the Alzheimer's
Association to fund research, in hopes that a cure will be found.

Hi Candace:
I'm sorry a family member of yours has AD and also hope a cure is found
soon. Its very generous of you to want to donate funds towards research
to the Alzheimer Assocation but how do you know the money would be spent
on research and not into administrative pockets? Foundations are a great
tax shelter but do they really help anyone? I haven't found that they
do.
