COST of ACCOMODATION

I'm new on this place and I'm trying to collect some information. As I
know in Croatia we don't have any specialized institution for care of
Alzheimer's patients. Can you tell me, if you have such kind of
information, how much person has to pay per month in average
institution in your country, if person has no insurance?

Health care in the U.S. is very expensive. Unless the patient has U.S.
medical insurance, or is a millionaire, its unlikely you'd find
treatment here for Alzheimers. You also need to know little medical help
is available for patients with Alzheimers in the United States. Your
best bet is to contact the countries of France or Cuba. These countries
put a lot of money into research, more than the United States. There is
a Pasteur Institute In Paris. You may get free medical care in Cuba but
you need to contact them and ask. Check with the French or Cuban
consulates in your area. They may be able to help. Some foreign
countries offer quality medical care at a much lower cost than in the
U.S.

Here is a link to Ontario Canada costs - we have public health
insurance, which makes a big difference. For example, nursing home
care is largely not for profit and partially subsidized.

Ha!
They know VERY well how to treat alzheimers disease, and there are quite a
few good medications in use now, that help a lot. But there is no cure, no
matter what anyone tells you.

Evelyn: With most doctors, including Canada, its a guessing game and
Alzheimers not diagnosed until near the end when its too late. If there
are doctors that know how to treat AD besides its many symptoms, would
you mind revealing their names and locations? Stangely, pharmaceuticals
formulate medicines to fight symptoms but nothing to fight the root
cause. The root cause of AD is a virus that enters through the ear and
moves to the brain When researchers begin to seriously study the
viruses, only then will AD patients find permanent relef by targeting
that specific virus with the correct medication. Wake up and smell the

Thank you for your answer and your information. Luckily I don't have
this kind of patient in my family. I'm just curious to compare Croatia
and the world. Indeed, today I receive information for two small
houses in Croatia and monthly cost is from 1000 to 1400 US$.
Nevertheless, do you have any information on costs in US like Mary
suplied me with costs in Canada?

misinformation and fantasy. If anyone needs to wake up and get with the
real world, it is you.
I advise anyone who is curious about what the real truth is, to please
research for themselves. The internet has lots of people, who for whatever
reason like to propagate mythology.
Ask a REAL doctor..... please. Educate yourself.

Its very hard to compare with the US, since we have universal health
insurance, and many care facilites are not-for-profit.
All I can tell you is rich or poor, we pay a fraction of what people
in the US pay, and the care is quite comparable.

LOL. Evelyn, I've been talking to REAL doctors over twenty years and
haven't found one yet who can successfully treat AD except attack
symptoms which is of little help. Answer the question, Evelyn, what are
the names and locations of these great doctors you speak of that
successfully treat AD? I'd l-o-v-e to check them out.
