Doesn't sound like a big deal. I don't mind waiting until after I've
recorded my instruments before adding effects.
But I've since learned that systems like Pro Tools and Paris aren't
host based systems like Cubase and Cakewalk, meaning that Pro Tools and
Paris don't rely on the computer's CPU but rely instead on expensive
soundcards.
Am I correct that Cakewalk has 196 channels of audio? How much is too
much. Cubase only has 96. That even sounds like overkill to me........
If I were to use the Yamaha DSP would I save any money with such a
system, combined with Cubase as opposed to getting a Paris Bundle 1
(for $ 2144 from Full Compass).
How much does the DSP go for? What would be the pros and cons of both
systems?
