Looks like AT&T is discontinuing Usenet service as of July 15. Can't say
I'm surprised, but I'm disappointed. I'll try to find another server, but I
don't think I want to have to pay for one.

You could always... you know, dump AT&T. There are plenty of DSL
providers that offer lower rates and better service, and almost all of
them include free Usenet access.

You can do what I've done since Day 1 (2000 according to ASVS News)
and use Google Groups.

Or hell, if you're not using a newsreader you can't read this, duh.
I'll tell you on AIM.

My Usenet access dissapeared and when i asked my service to reset the server
they said, We have discontinued access as of July 4, have a nice day.

Would have been nice to get a heads up email before they cut me off,
fortunately i set up on a free server and everythign appears to be working
as of right now.
