This was a nice little topic at spacebattles this week, who wins?

I hope its the cruiser, personally, although the OTT star trek tech would
probably wipe out a whitestar, especially if the script demanded it.

My take on it was the Runabout. It can take out the 6 Starfuries with ease,
because they are slow and have no shields, and it can out manuaver the heavy
weapons. The pulse cannon fire would be absorbed by the shield without a
problem, and all they have to do is phaser it and micro-torpedo it to death.

I'm talking about a Hyperion like the Clarkstown in "Severed Dreams"

In that case......depends who is smarter. Who is in command and what choices
they make. You would need to use the fighters to herd the runabout in
towards the Hyper and limit its options.

this is a no brainer....without a doubt it would be the
Danube...in normal space the Hyperion is bulky, slow and
definatly not at all agile....as a result...it presents an easy
target for the Danube
