Hi Jason!
Let's have a short look at my bio first.
The only thing that bothers me is the following one:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. Official Star Fleet Record
-------------------------------
A. Promotion History:
150601 Commissioned as Ensign (O-1).
B. Service History:
110615 Entered Star Fleet Academy.
150601 Commissioned as Ensign (O-1).

I think it must be 16 instead of 15. Therefore 12 instead of 11, too.
Well, what kind of ship I want to serve on and what post do I like to have?
Generally I don't really mind what ship it is exactly.
The only limitation might be, that I'd rather prefer a unit which doesn't have a mass production of postings. A low to middle posting rate unit is okay though.
And concerning my post I guess you know better where someone's needed. I have no preference there either, because I don't know any of your ships. Therefore I can't really make a clear decision. I hope it is okay, that I pass the choice over to you.
The only thing I'd prefer Navigation to Science is that it could be, that all this science stuff could surpass my vocabulary a little bit, but this isn't really an insolvable problem.
I mean in reality an Ensign hardly would have the choice on which unit he wants to serve :-)

<< I guess time is important for X-Posts etc., I write ET and CET to make it clearer.
How do you handle all the different time zones? Or doesn't it really matter what time zone I live in? I mean the difference between me and New York are 6, between me and San Fran 9 hours. That is quite a lot actually.>>

Fantastic. A lesson in riddles. Marc tried to combine the infos he got. There was a Kryren ship which obviously tried to go back to their homeworld. This homeworld was razed by a spider-like alien some hundred thousand lifetimes ago.
He slightliy shook his head. That sounded like a spider destroyed an intergalactic ant-hill. Too bad that he was in a vessel and not shrinked in a human being's garden.
Okay then, let's get it on. The first thing that was to do, according to Marc's ideas, was to investigate the place of the crime.
The next thing the Canadian was highly interested in was where the Kryren were the past 700,000 generations and where the heck they had this vessel from.
"Ch'k'kkk't of Kryren has to go to this coordinates." Marc went to the navigation ant (he supposed this insect he meant was responsible for the movement of this ship) and showed him the coordinates on his tricorder.
"CAN NOT READ. ENSIGN STARLEET GO TO COORDINATES." That was unambiguous. He would have to navigate the ship.
He had a look at the panel and lifted his eyebrows. How should he be able to type in the coordinates if he had no idea what the signs mean?
"What do signs mean?" he asked Navigation ant.
"ACCELERATE - BRAKE - LEFT - RIGHT - UP - DOWN" the insect pointed on the signs and explained them to Ensign Starfleet.
// Wow. And where can I type in the coordinates? This sounds like fun. Really great fun. Oh yeah.// Marc was not very responsive at all.
He sat down on the ground and tried to bring this vessel in the direction of the coordinates on his tricorder. At least he could read the signs on it. He didn't know exactly if he flew in the right direction, but he hoped his tricorder would indicate.
"Excuse me. What can you tell about this Ch'k'kkk't?" Marc asked Captain ant.
"CH'K'KKK'T FOR KRYREN. KRYREN ON RUN. GREAT EVIL HUNT."
Aha. What a tremendous statement. For the survival of the Kryren race a ship had been kept ready. They fled hundred thousands of years and then, suddenly, they tried to get back. Why?
"Why didn't you return earlier to k'kk'kk'k'K?"
was the next logical question Marc asked. By the way the tricorder didn't show anything if the direction Marc chose was right or not.
"KRYREN NOISE, ENSIGN STARFLEET DATA, ENSIGN STARFLEET PLACE. KRYREN JUST NOISE."
Marc concluded that the Kryren simply weren't able to read their records properly. Their technical development wasn't that high to do so. He supposed further, that the spider must be another race which was further developed. Obviously the Kryren and the spider race were in war and the Kryren were displaced from their home planet. They had the data in their database but weren't able to decipher it until he appeared. That would also mean, that the Kryren had no Warp technology, but perhaps the spiders had. This would be a logical solution for the Kryren being on this ship.
But Marc had no idea if his thought were all true, at first he had to find a way how to get to the coordinates the home planet seemed to be.
