Baldoni and Harvey are selfrighteous pricks, they are both bigots.

Admittedly, at the time, I made a mistake, but it was meant to be more
of a humourous comment than an offensive one.

And boy, do I regret posting what should have been an 'off the cuff'
post, meant to raise a smile.

The man is a throwback to a bygone age. He clearly is incapable of
remorse.

Right, that's about all I'm going to take of this.

Your ISP has already been informed - constant hounding of usenet posters
is against the terms and conditions you sign up to.

If you wish to continue this 'campaign', I *will* seek legal advice to
get an injunction to stop it.

Now, you may want to have a long, hard think about your actions before
posting your campaign of hate again.

There's a fine line between banter and what can reasonably termed as
'abuse' - you've crossed it and are about to discover the consequences
of it.

It will not wash SteveH I have not been using the term "yid" and you
latched on to something I said about the term being derogertory.

As for Wales SteveH I happen to have a very close connection to the
county of Gwent.

If I said anything to upset Welsh people who incidentally are the same
race as the rest of Britain then I apologize.

I think you have said enough.

ISP's take personal insults, maintained over a period of time, directed at
an individual and published through their provision of service far more
seriously than the odd infrequent comment that may or may not be deemed
offensive.

Whether or not Steve is a racist isn't actually the issue here, and will be
of no use in a defence against the allegation of breach of T&C's that Steve
has said he will make against Balders to his ISP.

If Steve has made racist comments, then that is a matter between anyone who
wishes to complain and Steves ISP at the time the comments were made.

Stating that the hounding of Steve has taken place because he is thought to
be a racist is not going to cut much ice in relation to balders and his
service provider and the T&C's etc he has agreed to when entering into
contract with them.

Quite. It isn't something I would do.

I have been in a position where I could have done it. Under a previous
incarnation I became involved in lengthy arguments with certain people who
claimed to be senior BNP members, across several of the UK/England politics
newsgroups.

In the end, one of these "people" ended up trying to netcop me!

It didn't get very far.

Hence I have no time for real racists. I do not regard Steve as one of
them, he's a million miles away from the real filth.

Usenet's first soap opera. How exciting. I bet we'll learn Steve H
and Mad Dog are actually long-lost brothers. And that Scoop is the
mother they never knew. And finally, that the last 18 years has all
been a dream Pope had while in the bath, the internet doesn't exist,

If your ISP is a major provider, then they would not lose any sleep. I have
been working for a major company directly involved with ISP's and service
provision for a number of years. They are duty bound to take transgressions
against T&C's seriously. To not do so could potentially cost them far more
custom through bad publicity.

ISP's are in part responsible for the content of what they provide to the
customer.

It is possible for an individual, with enough time and money and
determination, to gain an injunction against another person for comments
published on usenet. There is already case law for this.

ISP's do not want to be embroiled in any such case, extremely bad publicity.
They would drop you like a stone if it ever came to that. I seriously doubt
that it would though. I'm not sure that Steve has what it takes to see this
through, he's just fed up and pissed off.

Seriously guys, give it a rest. I know that ultimately I can ignore this
thread and not bother reading all the crap posted thereafter but to be
honest I can't help feeling that there simply is no place for this on this
newsgroup or usenet generally.

Its bad enough when perfectly reasonable, on topic conversations are spoilt
but purposely created cross-posted threads is taking the michael. I mean,
who gives a shit? really?

If you don't want to read posts from a certain poster, use a killfile and
get on with your life. Are you all so bitter and twisted from years of
usenet squabbling that you just can't help yourselves?

Born in Manchester, brought up in Droylsden - moved away when I was 18

To be honest, when I did live up there, I tended to go to Stockport

I remember when County played home matches at Edgely on Friday nights
and both United and City fans would go. I was born exactly 2 miles
from Old Trafford and later moved to Macclesfield and then on to the
States but I'll laways be a Mancunian.
I have played for Macclesfield reserves against Droylsden in the
Manchester League way back when.

When I played for Macc they were in the NPL and the reserves played in
the Manchester league (which Droysden was in at the time). I came to
Macc from Port Vale who I'd joined from Stoke. I was a youth player
for Stoke when Dennis Violett and company was there. I have seemed to
run into Dennis no matter where I traveled, I met him years later when
we were both coaching over here in the US (small world).

He's allegedly plonked you so this will help him see.

His and Baldonis actions are pathetic, they are just using the one comment
by SteveH to try and paint themselves whiter than white and as a vehicle for
having a pop at Manchester people and Manchester United fans as his last
comment "Too many racists from one city for my liking" proved.

Ian is a slimy toad full of backhanded digs and sly swipes and quick to jump
on any bandwagon which gives him an excuse to have a pop at
Manchester/Manchester United.

Baldoni is just a lonely gobshite who likes to amuse *lie to* people with
tales of his families *yawn* history, the many amazing things he's seen and
done *which is everything you've done or are planning on doing only he's
done it better* and his general myopic view of the world.

Have you ever read the diary of hunted priest Fr. John Gerard Baldoni,
a first-hand account of a priest's secret life ministering to
persecuted Catholics in Elizabethan England? It's a fascinating tale
if you can get your hands on a copy. Three left at Amazon UK I see.

You seem to have a real fixation with gayness fatty, you mention it in every
post.

If I was gay why would you calling it me be an insult?

and as I'm not why would some faceless fat peasant following up every post I
make with a gay jibe bother me, other than to make me think there is
something seriously up with you?
