Congratulations to Jeff Carter for scoring the overtime goal as the LA
Kings beat the team we couldn't, at home for the second straight
time.  With Carter, Mike Richards, Simon Gagne and Justin Williams on
their roster, well if the Flyers couldn't make it, at least the former
Flyers can.

I'm also cheering on Jon (now Jonathan) Quick, a former Reading Royal
from the 07-08 season. Stop those Devils!

It may be nothing more than an "Urban Legend", but I always heard that
Mike Emrick has hated the Flyers since they failed to renew his
contract with them back in the days of PRISM.  I also think that I
remembered that the name "Doc" came from the fact that he had a
"Doctor of Divinity" degree, but I can't find confirmation of that.  I
seem to remember that way back when we first got cable here in South
Jersey there was a religious program he hosted called "Along the
(Something) Highway" .  Given that I always thought it was odd that a
man with a DDV would be the spokesman for the "Devils".

I had a epiphany in the middle of the night.  The name of the program
that "Doc" Emrick hosted was "Along the Kings Highway" and I think it
came out of a church in Haddonfield, NJ.

BTW, when giving credit to members of "The Flyers West" let us not
forget John Stevens and Ron Hextall.
