Boy was I surprised. Granted, the best defender last night
might have actually been the goal post/crossbar, but still it
was an amazing show of what could be. I even switched over
to listen to the Detroit broadcast after the Islanders first
goal, and they were very complementary on the hustle, desire,
and fact that the Islanders had stuck with the youth during
this season.
Considering that the last time the Isles shut out the Wings
was 1/22/81 - it was a hell of a ride.
Now the question that the team will have to answer is whether
they can muster the same kind of effort tonight against the
Flyers.
