Playoff predicament

If the Flames beat Vancouver on Saturday and jump up a
point or two in the standings, they could knock Colorado out
of the #6 playoff spot and force a first round meeting with the
Wild. If that happens, it would actually be advantageous
for the Wild to lose the Colorado game on Sunday.
Do you think Lemaire might consider that, since the matchup
with Colorado would be a better pairing for the Wild?

After the Flames beat Vancouver tonight, the Wild have to lose
to the Av's tomorrow.
They should put Skoula in the net.

Couldn't have turned out better. The Wild get the extra point for taking the
game to overtime, the Av's get two points and move up to the number six
seed and the Wild see them again for round one of the playoffs.
As soon as I saw Harding in net, I knew the Wild were going to let this
game go...as they did. And they made it look good in the process.

To no ones surprise if you shut down Gaborik, you shut down the Wild's
most productive offensive player. I certainly would expect Boogaard
will be in the lineup and might send a little message to the AVS, and
especially LePerriere.

I would expect to see Boogaard, Fedoruk, Simon, and Hill all make
an appearance during the playoffs. Especially if things start to get
physical.
Thankfully, the Av's aren't physically at the same level as the
Flames, so I think the Wild can match up well with the Av's if
they decide to have guys like LePerriere start throwing the Wild
around.
Looking forward to the series! I managed to get tickets through
work for the Friday night game. Perfect way to kick off the
weekend!
