Redskins draft Rambo, failed drug tests at Georgia

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- The Washington Redskins have used a sixth-round
pick in the NFL draft to take Bacarri Rambo, a talented safety whose
stock fell after he failed two drug tests in college at Georgia.
The Redskins selected Rambo with the 191st overall pick on Saturday,
far below the projected slot for the 6-foot, 211-pound defensive back.
Rambo was suspended for the first four games last season. His high
school coach said Rambo failed a drug test after inadvertently eating
marijuana-laced brownies.
Rambo's first failed drug test was in 2011, when he was suspended from
Georgia's season opener.
Rambo had 16 career interceptions with the Bulldogs. He was the third
defensive back selected this year by the Redskins, who had the third
worst pass defense in the NFL last year.

money to smoke pot. Maybe they don't realize they will get caught? In
high school and college they have immunity, you ban a great player for
pot or prosecute them and your life in that community is over. When
they get to the pros, things are very different and I suppose immunity
disappears for the star high school athlete who gets to college and
finds he's average at best.

Oh, I think Davis could be useful telling him how much money one toke
can cost. Despite maryjane being much less toxic than alcohol and no
one that I know of has killed someone because they were stoned vice
alcohol where many footballers have killed and maimed people while
driving drunk.
Given the dangers of football to the brain and the well documented
dangers of alcohol to the brain perhaps the NFL should put alcohol on
the prohibited substance list. Obviously they cannot condone use of

If one has a concussion, and drinks alcohol afterwards. There is a
chance of them going into a coma.

frequent times he was pulled over after the game, after the bar, on
his way home. He never was arrested. Different times.
