It's official: Super Bowl L awarded to the Bay Area

The owners have voted and on the first ballot the San Francisco 49ers and
the Bay Area were awarded the right to host Super Bowl L in 2016 at Levi's
Stadium.

The 49ers would be winners of SB 47 if they were allowed to compete
fairly. On the opening kick return of the second half two Ravens
players picked up Brent Miller and carried him 15 yards off his feet,
he was the closest 49er to the return man and it caused the Raven
player to score a touchdown. In the sequence where the 49ers were at
the Ravens five yard line ready to score the go ahead touchdown, the
cheating refs allowed the Ravens players to hold, and mug 49ers
receivers play after play, including bear hugs with two arms. During
the Ravens safety afterwards, there were blatant tackling of 49ers
defenders by Ravens offensive linemen that is illegal. On the last
punt return Joe Flaco was caught on camera urging his players to
cheat, he went to player after player urging him to come off the
sideline and tackle the punt returner, that is illegal, and Flaco said
he would do this cheating too. Simply put NFL games are rigged by
corrupt refs, and cheating players. In Europe their major profession
soccer league have declared 680 of their games have been rigged, this
is what their league now proclaims. NFL games are fixed too. The 49ers
were not allowed to compete fairly.

The weather was fine that day in 1985. It was overcast but mild.

What the VIPs hated were the splinters sticking up their butts due to the
dilapidated wooden bleachers that Stanford Stadium had. In addition to
having most of the food served from Coleman coolers (which the vast majority
of Stanford Stadium concession stands used at that time to store their "hot"
foods like burgers and hot dogs.

distant memory, as is the stadium itself. The new, high tech stadium
will be in the rotation, despite your negative attitude. You see,

Not the possibility. Actual rain during Superbowl 50 will sour the
league on future Superbowls here.

Otherwise, they will have to add Dallas and New York in the rotation as
well. Because if they accept less than perfect weather that they've
gotten in the traditional venues, then how can they say no to all the
other big new stadium owners?

And to tell you the truth, I don't want even rain (or wind) in the
Superbowl to decide games. Let teams play under the optimal conditions,
so that they have a chance to play at their best.

The old tapes of NFL Championship games in Green Bay and Chicago is a
big part of the lore of the NFL but it didn't make for great football.

Weather happens, but there is a reason they play in places where the weather
is expected to be decent.
