Steve Gregory signs three-year deal with Patriots. #Chargers lose
reserve safety with 31 starts last four years.

Steve Gregory will be New England's new free safety. He played strong in
San Diego.

Just sayin: Hardwick, Meachem, Gaither, Johnson, McClain count $13.65
million against cap in 2012. Vincent Jackson's cap number=$13 million.

I think the Bolts have used their money wisely so far!!

Had to have Hardwick and Gaither!

Both Jackson and Williams got CRAZY money that they are NOT worth and
I'm glad the Bolts didn't overpay either of them like that... they
wouldn't have been able to fix anything else!

Meachem is the guy I was hopin they would draft in 2007 at #30! (They
had to settle for BUSTer Davis) He will be awesome and we will all be
glad that Jackson got paid somewhere else. Wait and see!

They finally got a real FB... Hopefully Royal for P/R and #4... Let's
pray they can still get a SS, DT/NT and pass-rushing OLB! (Johnson is
good against the run... Are they going to try him inside???)

They are not done!!

Agree, but how good is Hardwick, really? He can still be overpowered.

Williams did. Jackson, if anything, got a little less in total dollars,
I think, than might have been expected. But he did get a ton guaranteed.

At least in the base defense, Johnson will definitely be the OLB on the
other side than Phillips. Don't know about nickle/dime packages.

I think they needed Hardwick back mentally more than physically. I'd
like to see them start grooming a young Center now that will be able to
make the line calls like Hardwick and be prepared to step in when its
his time.
