Notice I didn't say he sucks. Coaches aside, I still see no touch,
accuracy, looking off primary, escapability. Drew Brees figures out a way
to call routes and get rid of the ball quickly to slow down the rush.
Sanchez does what he's told, and is a sitting duck when his first guy is
well covered. Anyone out there still think he's young with potential?
Pennington, with fewer weapons, was a born leader from day one, with touch.
This kid shows me little.

Yet he had his best game today: 369 yards, 63% completion, 2 TDs, 1 pick.

"Best game" is a low bar for him, true, but credit where it is due.

He's started off this year much better than last year, first three games:

2009: 46 of 79, 58%, 550 yds, 7.0 yds attempt
2010: 70 of 111, 63%, 886 yds, 8.0 yds attempt

Again a low bar -- but progress is progress.

And a good thing too, because they *are* throwing more, as the running game fades.

JK my jury is still out on Sanchez (that first pick was pure moron)
but hold on.

Sanchez was thrown in as a rookie, for comparison sake he played >
half the games Brady did in college, now after 2 years of experience
he is still younger than Pennington when he started. I really don't
have a problem with his accuracy it is his decision making.

The O line isn't giving him time to throw and is hurting the running
game big time.

He is under pressure but when he forces balls when other receivers are
open (Jaguars) or doesn't protect the ball like he did in the 1st Q
yesterday he is making everything harder.

Two years ago he was the least touched QB in the league.

Exactly...so who was supposed to be taking care of the O line situation?
They obviously blew that one...did they think the style of their young QB
would change? Over the last three years they made decisions that took them
backwards...got rid of people with good production without having a solid
replacement...bad ideas.
