The SOJ lose this game by 14.

Yes, it took some breaks and mistakes by the other side to pull it out, but when the team plays hard all the way to the end like it can still win, that's what it can get. Good teams do that and always have a shot at getting them.

The SOJ would never have gotten them.

Dallas fans are suffering from one more defeat of the kind that tortured old SOJ fans for years and years.

Enjoy helping them become the Same Ol' Boys, and having a team that's learned how to win games like this.

I'm not so old and creaky that I don't still njoy the weeping and lamentations of my enemies.

Especially the Boyz.

You do remember the classic expose of how Hitler himself was a Cowboys fan...

And btw amen to the title of your post. That's what I've been trying
to espouse non stop since Rex started rocking out as a Jet.

It's no way to go about winning it all i.e. thrilling comeback
victories but it's about 6 million miles away from the darkest SOJ
days including as a lad when I semi jokingly put out my hat for the
"Joe Must Go Fund"

Now's a good time as any: I apologize for my recent evil rant towards
you. I have no excuse. I have no idea who you are or what you do. I
assume, based on your posts in here, you are an honorable brilliant
person in non Jets-newsgroup world (in here you're insights are
insightful, honest, challenging). I lost my temper, dishonored myself
and exposed my inner anger by trying to get personal.

Unlike you I can be a hot head, and I still have maturing to do. If
you can accept my sincere apology great, if not I understand.

As it relates to this post:

It was an uphill battle from the outset, which is always amplified
when you're at the game. There's no pausing of the action. And I must
say, when we were down 24-10 and I felt myself getting a little
down ... all of a sudden a wave of emotion & defiance hit me which
said: "never give up."

Nick Folk deserves a helluva credit for delivering the dagger to his
former team that gave up on him.

Whoever you are, give Grinch his computer back, stealing is a crime and a
sin!

Don't know about the crime but as to the sin, after so may years in the purgatory of Jets-fandom I've no worries there. I figure I'm owed.

LOL...I used to say that for going to the games each fan should have gotten
a free Rx for Prozac...and one at the game 15 minute session with a shrink.
They owed it to the fans. It was Jets Purgatory.

Think nothing of it. That's what usenet's for.

I've been in flamewars that were like the fire bombing of Tokyo. Nobody ever apologized to anyone, and I didn't either. And nobody ever apologized in all the other flame wars I witnessed.

That makes you the class act of all usenet history!
