I'm not sure we can arbitrarily assign intent to the action. He
obviously tried to interfere, but we don't know if he intended to
injure. He admitting to interfering. Since this didn't happen in the
field of play amongst contestants, I'm kind of looking at it like a
crime. If you rob a store and nobody gets hurt, when you get caught
you get punished. But if you rob a store and somebody does get hurt,
when you get caught you get punished but more severely. I dunno, maybe
my thinking is off on this, but that's the way I see it right now. I'd

If he doesn't serve prison time for this, something is wrong with our
justice system.
I think 5-10 years might just make him think twice before thrusting
his knee out while he's standing 4 feet out of bounds. He should also
be banned from ever even watching an NFL game. He should have thought
about how much he loves the NFL BEFORE he acted like a complete thug.

That he didn't hurt anyone doesn't matter, the possibility was there
because of his stupidity. He should pay the ultimate price and be

The Jets, being the class act they are, will no doubt bring him back next
season. He is more effective than most of the Jets players at stopping his

I certainly wouldn't have an issue with forfeitures of games for
extreme events such as this, but that violates the concept of the
league's sole existence as a business.

The guy was a jerk to do what he did, but I don't even see due cause
for punishment to be honest with you.
He wasn't on the field of play. If football players can get away with
body slamming someone into the ground by their facemask with only a
penalty called, there is no way some low-level coach should get any
kind of punishment for sticking his knee out 4 feet out of bounds.
It's kind of like thinking Vick deserved to be banned from the NFL
because he hurt dogs, but Leonard Little killed someone, but hey, he
can come back whenever he wants.

and what can and cant be done before you comment on it. Charges of

He isn't a football player and was not on the field that's why he
deserves punishment. He had no business doing what he did. Try to
think with some intelligence, if possible.

I despise children so I never wanted nor had any. I was lucky to find

Well being a retired police officer and now an attorney I cant tell
you from personal exp that I have seen assault charges brought of for
less and they have not only stuck and the person has been found guilty
but they have also done jail time. Also in NYS there really isn't much
that a judge can do to a DA or ADA in regards to punishing him or her.
All they can do is call for a review and usually nothing comes of it.
Dont believe what you see on TV. On TV they show DA's having power
over police officers in how they get reprimanded. That is as far from
the truth as possible in NYS. DA'ss/ADA's have no power over police
officers. Don't believe what you see on Law & Order.

Still together 22 years later and very happily child free. Since my
retirement we have traveled all over the world and have vacationed in
places most people can only dream of affording. If we had any
children, we would still be paying for them and would have never seen
all that we have seen. Having children isn't for everyone and we both
knew that it wasnt for us. When we are gone all that we own (homes,
properties, autos and so on) will be auctioned off and the money will
be donated to various charities and non profit organizations that we
have supported throughout the years. And even though we don't like
children, we have been supporters of the St Jude hospital for children
with cancer. We have done this because no child should suffer from
cancer without the possibility of health care. We may not like, want
or tolerate them but that doesn't mean they should suffer.

That's your problem. I had a great career in the department with
several medals and very proud of what I did. I even delivered 2 babies
and contrary to what people say, its not a beautiful exp. Its

It was an attempt at a little humor but it backfired, not that it
really matters. Vick is doing it not because he realizes that what he
did was wrong, but because he wants to play and make money again. Most
criminals never really do care that what they did was wrong.
