Interesting to consider... Commentators were still giving high praise
to the Jets o-line last week. Intresting to consider given that
Slauson replaced Faneca and Hunter replaced Woody... They would call
Mangold, Moore & Brick a good line even if you mixed in Clement and
Adrian Clarke. BTW... In the Bears game and this last Pats game,
Hunter actually looks better than Woody was looking.
4.4 is not out of hand for an experienced t. not like he was doing
badly before his injury... thing is.. at his age, can he come back
from it ??? i dont even know how serious it was. we are also in the
dark about ducasse... who knows if he will be a d'brick who takes a
while to get up to speed or a gholston that never will
i gather the two wr's are edwards and santonio... regardless of what
happens with woody or harris for that matter, i dont expect them to be
able to hold on to both edwards and santonio... i'd prefer to keep
edwards
Just heard the interview... What Slauson said
1. "Callan runs the ground game"
2. Slauson gave praise to Hunter
3. When asked if they could run on the Steelers Slauson said: "we feel
we can run on anyone"
4. Slauson constatly thinks about the hof player Faneca... It makes
him work harder to try to replace him given Faneca's skill level
5. Slauson gave high praise to Big Ben
That was the meat of the interview... The most intersting thing was
that he gave complete credit to Callahan for their running attack.
john... put the tin star back in your pocket. that is EXACTLY what he
said... go get the podcast. if slauson did not say exactly just that,
then i never heard of the oregon ducks
yep... he "runs the groud game" Just like I had in quotes above.
That is exactly what he said. The way he was speaking he all but gave
full credit to callahan for their ground attack. I'd have thought
better of you if you manned up and admitted you went off half-
cocked.
john.. i see what you are getting at now... you are saying that
slauson was paying some lip service to callahan for the sake of the
interview and was not actually giving him all the credit. valid
point. at first i thought you were disputing the quotes. believe it
or not, this was not intended as an anti shot post... this was a pure
slauson post. you know i've been following our 6th round husker.
Then I owe you an apology and I apologize.
Send the badge to Johnny and send the lube to buRf.
thanx, but you dont owe me an appology here... i did not consider that
you jumped on it because you saw it as a branch of my schotty screed.
i understand the motive now...
hehe... some of my posts are off balance because most of my days are
too. i'm rushing from one business appointment to the next... lots of
ups and downs and plenty of business/sales adrenaline rushes. other
times, i have too much time on my hands. most of the time i get a
post off while waiting in a lobby for someone... my most over written
posts come when i'm held over night during travel... more often then
not i'm just thinking out loud when i rush off a post between
appointments... other times my brain gets a fair chance to go before
my fingers do :-)
