Maybe I just not as big of a fan as some here but I don't like a team
that shoots its mouth off when they have accomplished absolutely
nothing! They don't deserve to be cocky or have an attitude. I like my
teams to be professional, disciplined and just go out and get things
done instead of talking about what they can do.
Thank you Mr. Johnson for being so greedy and wanting more money than
you already had or needed and turning our team into a complete
embarrassment! You had to bring in Favre and then give is a wimp like
Sanchez because you wanted a celebrity QB to sell tickets. You let TJ
go and signed LT for the same reason. I despise you Mr Johnson!
It looks like her and its his voice on the video. I didn't say that it
was illegal but it is another embarrassment for the organization
because whatever Rex or his wife do reflects on the team, right or
wrong.
> Rex is just Rex... he's just a big, jolly guy. He makes people laugh, & he seems to have

He is an asshole, just like his father. He does the organization harm
by being an ass and a blow hard. Anything he does relects on the
organization.
> As far as the team itself, the players love Rex. Everyone expected them to vaporize last

I doubt its respect and its not all nonsense. I think its more of I'll
play for him cause I can do whatever I want and he wont do anything
about it. I may have a pessimistic view of Rex and the team but I
think you're looking at the Jets and Rex thru rose colored glasses.
> Lastly, you can call Sanchez a lot of things, but a wimp?

When he sulks on the sidelines like a little girl, IMO that makes him
a wimp.
> I'm with you on wanting a no-nonsense, professional team, but the Jets aren't an

They are an embarrassment to me. They really have no right to talk the
way they do. Their playoff appearance last year was a gift, they
didn't earn or deserve it the Colts handed it to them. This year they
are not what their record indicates and if they make the playoffs they
may win one game but when they face the Pats you can bet Belicheat is
going to destroy their asses just to make a point, like he did the
last time they met.
> It does look like her...
And its the idiot Ryans voice in the video.
Ritchie, do you know what a jerk you look like. It's not Ryan's'wife.
Geez, who needs trolls.
Besides all that, what's wrong with pretty feet?? Sheesh!
> Ritchie, do you know what a jerk you look like. It's not Ryan's'wife.
> Geez, who needs trolls.
How do u know? The Jets stated that they dont comment on personal
matters instead of saying no its not her or Ryans voice. There is no
need for name calling, it shows lack of intelligence or ability to
communicate.
What did you think of Joe Namath when he did the pantyhose commercials?
In all fairness, Ritchie, you "name call" all the time!
Every media outlet would be foaming at the mouth to say this is Ryan
and his wife, instead they are reporting it is someone on Youtube who
has an account called "Ihaveprettyfeet"
It was already know she looks like Ryan's wife.
even if it is, and I defeinitely believe it to be Rex's voice and the
woman couold be Michelle's twin, so what? It's clear that they adore
each other, had some fun with a videocam and an innocuous role play
back in Maryland. Contrast that to the cheating and deceptive Bill
Belicheat who had affairs with employees, resulting in a bitter
divorce. Which is worse from a moral standpoint? I'll stand behind
the devoted husband and wife oin this one any day of the week. So,
Ritchie, put a sock in it. :) harhar
The real question is, how did the video get out? I'm guessing Bill
Belichick again! ;-)

i'm not sure if this was rex's wife or not in the video or rex's
voice... still... if it is, no big deal... it would be a bit of a
personal imbarassment for rex, but i dont find it to be disturbing or
upsetting. i'm more of a breast man myself, but i thought the vids
were actually cute... glad to see the older generation is still friskey
older generation? fuck you Michael. :) and I'm sure BuRf, Harlan,
Johnny, John C, Papa Carl, and is a couple more years, Glenn, would
join me in that sentiment. We old guys know how to have fun. Trust
me.
I doubt Woody fires Rex over this. Rex has a strong toe-hold in being
the Jets HC. His feet are firmly planted. And I toetally agree with
BuRf's post. This whole thing is corny, anyway. Let's all come back
to plantar Earth and redirect our focus on our arch enemies, the
Patriots. I have full confidence that in the weeks ahead, Rex will put
his best foot forward. No way this becomes Rex's achilles heel.
with or without viagra ??? :-) though, i think a few people on your
list up there are too old school for viagra... they just take some
thread and a pop cycle stick and make a splint for their johnson
hehe
That was very punny!
Stop the f**kin' presses! I don't believe what I just saw!
For our WOODY Johnson's????
Sometimes I'm not sure where I came from. :)
I grew up on Long Island in the late 70s/early 80s, but when I moved to
San Francisco it was hard to catch games. But now with streaming, the
proliferation of game slots, the Raiders sucking and getting blacked
out, and the NFL Network, it's easier to follow them again.
Unfortunately they seem to have the same penchant for breaking my heart
as they did back then.
No worries, when feeling stressed over the Jets just sit back and rub
your feet. Better yet, have Rex and Michelle come over and do it for
you. :)
Umm, maybe just Michelle!
Come on Ritchie... everyone knows Rex puts his heart and sole into
coaching the Jets. :)
(props to Jetswinbaby for that one)
You win the award for most uptight, self-righteous SOJ fan.
Try lightening up from your moral-police shtick. This is a free
country. People have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of
happiness. An "embarrassment" to you is harmless entertainment to
another.
I have some dear friends who are wonderful, successful people and
parents who did some swinging in the past. Not that that's my thing,
but I admire them for doing as they desire. More power to them and
everyone else who have the courage and zest to live as they please.
Yeah, you should see the size of my right bicept.
Show me where.
What a heel! ;-)
I couldn't care less if Rex bangs sheep in his spare time. This is a
non-story as far as I am concerned.
And it is my right to feel this way so deal with it.
> I have some dear friends who are wonderful, successful people and
> parents who did some swinging in the past. Not that that's my thing,
> but I admire them for doing as they desire. More power to them and

I also have friends that did the same thin but they aren't prominent
public people. Rex is and contrary to what others say here, what he
does reflects on the organization that's just the way it is. Its like
a wife that is married to a criminal or a racist person. She is
innocent of what he does / says but because that's her husband
anything he does reflects on her. Its wrong but they are seen as one
unit.
LOL!!
> I also have friends that did the same thin but they aren't prominent

Except, unlike racism, there's nothing the matter with taking video of
someone's feet.
It sure is your right, as it is mine to suggest lightening up a bit.
The difference between you and I, in this case, is I respect and honor
people's right to live as they choose.
> > I have some dear friends who are wonderful, successful people and
> > parents who did some swinging in the past. Not that that's my thing,

And that's my point. In a sense *I'm glad Rex & his wife chose to live
as they desired, out loud,* regardless of their public profile. It's
not like they committed a crime or anything close. Who cares? I say,
good for them.
Oh wait, they committed a moral crime. The moral police in this and
every country, now and throughout history, sicken me. Who gives a shit
what people do with their lives if they aren't hurting others?
If our society was more open-minded and free-spirited harmless stuff
like this wouldn't bother anyone. But because many people are so
morally uptight - and in their own way corrupt - it's an issue.
Just for once, I wish in a situation like this, the owner had the
balls to say something like this to the media:
"Ya know what, I have absolutely no problem with what Rex and his wife
have done. That's a personal matter between themselves, they can live
as they choose, as can everyone in our organization. We don't
discriminate here on the basis of race, age, or sexual preference.
This is America and we believe in all our precious freedoms secured by
the Constitution. Rex & his wife didn't commit a crime, didn't hurt
anybody.
"Their videos became public, their private lives became public. The
only reason that's mildly unfortunate is because it's a minor
distraction. But it is only a minor distraction, and to us it's
already old news. Our focus is on the Chicago Bears. Happy Holidays to
all."
I wish more prominent public people did the same thing and advocated
that it doesn't matter, because everyone has the right to live as they
please.
If you didn't snip away half my post which contained the conversation
thread, you could just scroll up!
I'll tell you the truth brother, I don't really like your attitude in
general, but I cut you slack because I respect what you decided to do
as a career - and followed through with it to retirement. I'm being
serious . . .
> Rex is and contrary to what others say here, what he

Agreed!
'cept he didn't do anything wrong! Might not be *your* cup of tea, but
sex amongst consenting adults is a good thing!
And all that he didn't do wrong, he did before he was with the Jets.
Try and understand please that not everybody shares the same morality
as you. The Jets aren't just your team, they're everybody's team.
I actually like the guy *more* after finding out this side of him! Go
Rex!
> Its like

Being a criminal or a racist is not the same thing as having an open
mind towards sex.
I agree that he didn't do anything wrong, I never said he did. Its
just that IMO when a person holds a position that is more publicly
prominent there should be some effort to conduct themselves more
properly.
> And all that he didn't do wrong, he did before he was with the Jets.
Agreed but did the guy not realize that maybe this can eventually get
out down the road?
>
> Try and understand please that not everybody shares the same morality

I do understand this but it doesn't excuse a person for having bad
judgement in what they do.
> I actually like the guy *more* after finding out this side of him! Go
> Rex!
I never really liked him much anyway. I don't like big mouths that
have nothing to show that makes them deserving of the big mouth. The
Giants have more of a right to boast because of what they did to NE in
the SB and they have accomplished a lot more than the Jets. Yet they
show class and dignity.

Agreed but either one reflects on more than just one person.
I thought they/he were silly.
To be honest I scrolled up and I didnt see it, I'll look again.
> I'll tell you the truth brother, I don't really like your attitude in

I understand about not liking my attitude, a lot of people don't. But
I have been this way since the day I was born and I doubt I will ever
change. I sometimes wonder how my SO has put up with me for 22
years! :) Thank you with your kind words about respecting what I did
for a career, it is something an active or retired officer almost
never hears. Again thank you.
This is a ludicrous position to take. Basically you're holding any and
all past behavior against someone for the rest of their lifetime, no
matter how unimportant they were when they did the bad thing. What if
the Ryans had made these films 25 years ago?
>> Try and understand please that not everybody shares the same morality

Perhaps not, but what Ryan did in his own personal life before joining
the Jets should not reflect poorly on the Jets, and should not reflect
too poorly on Ryan himself unless it was patently illegal. Yes, we can
all say "wow, that guy was a doofus for allowing these videos to be made
public!" But that's really it, and that's a very light offense. It'd
be much more serious if, for example, he allowed Jets practice videos to
be made public.
> I never really liked him much anyway. I don't like big mouths that

Like the head coach running on to the field to publicly berate his
rookie punter, when it's his own damn fault for blowing the game? Yeah,
that's classy, all right. I would certainly hold that against Coughlin
much more than Ryan's loudmouthed bravado against him.
>> Being a criminal or a racist is not the same thing as having an open

>
> Agreed but either one reflects on more than just one person.
One's sex life should not reflect in any way on one's profession, unless
one is a prostitute or gigolo. Or, less facetiously, if you use your
sex preferences to get what you want from your subordinates, that's
incredibly bad. But I can not imagine Ryan using some sexual fetish as
emotional intimidation in the locker room.

kkeller...@wombat.san-francisco.ca.us
LOL!
I don't have a problem with what Coughlin did to his kicker. Yes
Coughlin and his defense screwed up royally but in the end all the
punter had to do was punt it out of bounds and he failed to do his
part. I still stand by my statement that the Giants are a classy
organization. The owners are well respected and admired throughout the
NFL.
So I assume you live on Fantasy Island?
Good to know the Pats are the real enemy instead of the Dolphins like
you guys always like to claim when we give you too hard of a time.
But this latest "scandal" has more the makings of something manufactured,
I'm sure Woody knew about it beforehand. Rex is just mocking the media
attention about everything else and sending his team a message: This isn't
going to distract me, don't let anything distract you. More like wearing
the wig before the Cleveland game.
This whole idea creeps me out.
Not a Rex fan, definitely not a Jets fan... How about you just drop it?
I have no idea how these videos became public, but if they show
anything noteworthy it's that Rex loves his wife and they have a great
marriage. WTF is the matter with the people who publish or leak this
stuff? Get a hobby or find something to do with your time.
Coach Ryan does kinda remind me of Sgt. Hatred.
older generation? fuck you Michael. :) and I'm sure BuRf, Harlan,
Johnny, John C, Papa Carl, and is a couple more years, Glenn, would

LOL....and still laughing....WE invented fun Michael...Sex, drugs and rock
'n roll.....well, at least the rock 'n roll I think the other two have been
here for many centuries...BUT us "older generation" definitely know how to
get it on.
thanks Euph. Ive been married to the same beauty since 1987 and
although feet aren't my thing, whatever is will always be with her!
It's the same for Rex. Unfortunatelt they found their way to
Deadspin.
Since 1969...met at a party in Greenwich Village, got married eight weeks
later......the best thing I ever did.
No, I live on "Don't Embarrass Your Players In Public Ithsmus". I have
no problem with chewing out your players...in the locker room, or the
coach's office. Perhaps the Giants are "well-respected and admired",
but that still doesn't excuse publicly humiliating one of your players,
even if he did screw up badly. (And in this case, I'm pretty sure the
punter already knows how badly he screwed up, so what is an unfriendly
reminder going to do?)
Do you live in "Off-field behavior is more important than on-field
Archipelago"?

I live on live your life with professionalism and dignity.
I am entitled to my opinion and will state it whenever I want. If you
don't like what I say, dont read my posts. I have many hobbies that I
enjoy and can do to choose whatever I want.
Sports, especially football is a heat of the moment situation. There
are all sorts of emotions involved and athletes get yelled at, get
made an example of and so on. They have to learn to deal with it and
move on. I don't have any tolerance for the sensitive athlete that
cries when he screws up and the coach lets him know. I also don't
believe in the coach being like a father to his players. He is the
coach, not a family member. Football players are warriors on the field
of battle, there is no room for sensitivity.
You are correct Burf, my apologies to the original poster, I misread
the post.
And it's not just consenting adults. It could have been a video of
Rex and a mistress. But clearly it was he and his wife (whom he
obviously adores...good for him!!!). I have no problem with a husband
and wife being really into each other and having a little fun in the
process.
That doesn't mean it's not embarrassing to have that fun played on
every tv and radio station in America. They should be embarrassed
about that, but not ashamed. Big difference between the two. You're
embarrassed if someone walks into the bathroom as you're getting out
of the shower and you're naked. But you're not ashamed, because you
didn't do anything wrong.
Embarrassing to whom exactly? What makes you think he or his wife is
embarrassed by it? If they were embarrassed by it, they would have
kept it in the closet.
> They should be embarrassed
> about that, but not ashamed. Big difference between the two.
Hmmm, I like that, hadn't thought about that distinction.
> You're
> embarrassed if someone walks into the bathroom as you're getting out
> of the shower and you're naked. But you're not ashamed, because you

Well done, sir.
Rex and wife are pervs, why else put it on youtube.
sucking toes is one thing who doesn't, the filming of yourself doing it and
posting it online is sick.
> Rex and wife are pervs, why else put it on youtube.
> sucking toes is one thing who doesn't, the filming of yourself doing it and

How often do you suck toes, Ray?
Unless you've got the plainest of plain vanilla sexuality
characteristics, you're into *something* freaky, I just don't know how
one escapes it. Now, I think Rex Ryan is a weird fucking dude, and
it's coming out as the coaching stress mounts, and I've got to say
that my money is on an earlier end to the Jet's season than their more
optimistic fans might anticipate, but every motherfucker out there
needs to leave him and his wife alone on this foot deal. Jesus, it's
pretty straight-forward as these things go, and he and the missus are
just trying to take care of business at home. I'm embarrassed for
them - not for Rex and his wife - I'm embarrassed for the dumb fucking
reporters and the editors who are fanning the flames. I'm no fan of
violence, but I'd applaud Rex if he popped somebody in mouth over
this.
============================================================================
will you stop coming on to me marc.
I'm sure your a swell guy, but and I'm glad you can now fight for America.
but again NO!.
Admit it, Ray, you've never sucked a toe in your life!
What, 'cause he likes his wife's succulent toes? Who cares? It
should be a non story, instead it's a media circus.
