They should have gone to him all 4 times. Congrats on the victory.
Johnny, since you started it, I was wondering how smart he was early
on when Henne couldn't hit the side of a barn?
:)
Marshall is rarity. He is like Andre Johnson in that they can take
over the game. Holmes is great WR & will help us when he gets back
but big strong & quick WR are just so valuable and that is why Edwards
played. BTW how about his blcok?
On the air, they said that Marshall was double or triple covered.
They only sent in 2 to put pressure on Henne and smothered Marshall,
thus the need to go to one of Miami's other options, such as Fasano.
Could be....but then we don't ever now what gets called and what gets
executed. In the Red Zone Cromartie did a good job on Marshal most of the
time too....I think they are in the game of guessing where the most
resources will go and try and stay away from that. It wasn't just Marshal
who had a good night remember. And to be clear, my admiration for Henning
is how he can take a much lesser talent and bring them beyond what anyone
thought they could do, that and his overall control of the game. I think it
was Henning with Rex's ticket last night...the "best defense in the NFL" did
not look so potent and even got blasted on the run more than a few times.
Hennning uses what he has more efficiently than any other OC in the game
today. Did people expect Henne to look this good?
BLCOK??? WTF is that, some special Irish word, or just the ravings of
an ejit? My money is on the ejit.
As a matter of fact, I saw them rush two on a couple of occasions. I
guess that's what they did on this play. Thanks for the reminder.
Don't lets get into your type, Larry.
No, I didn't expect Henne to look that good. As I said elsewhere, he
just doesn't "win the big ones." But that team is a whole lot more
talented than I had thought. And their O-line CERTAINLY is better
than ours, and will remain so, at least until Slauson gains the
respect of the refs. It seems that in the big spots they look to see
how they can at all possibly flag him. And please don't get me
started on the hose that the zebras brought with them last night,
AGAIN. I can't wait for the Pittsburgh game.
Um, I didn't post that.
By my typo standards that is an easy one. BLOCK
He blocked the DE on LT's run, which allowed LT to turn the corner.
Both Smith & Edwards are solid blocking WR's.
How have you been, stupid?

Stupid, stupid.
The Jets will have to be ahead of the Steelers by two scores going
into the final minutes of the game. Down the stretch, the officials
ignore clear holding by the guys on the Steelers offensive line so
Rapistberger can orchistrate his hero come from behind drive. They
also choose not to call personal fouls against the Steelers defenders
when they hit guys low, hit guys late and make helmet to helmet
contact. That is just "tuff Steeler football" as far as the officials
and the league are concerned. It is to be admired and lionized. The
Jets offense has to put the foot to the floor the entire game and
throw caution to the wind. The defense has to be more physical than
they Steelers defense. They have to play like they are in a street
fight. The Jets will be playing against the Steelers, the officials
and the league's agenda. Of all their games this season, this is the
one I want most. WAY more than Pats and Fins.
My long standing hatred for the Fins would push them to #1 for me,
but your analysis of the way the refs work a Steelers game is pretty
much spot on. It's a wonder, really, how they ever loose a game.
Filleted fish for me too.

You know, with all the rivalries etc. I just like to see good football and
can even appreciate a hated rivalry when they play well. I'd rather see an
opponent play well than beat up on some loser. That's how I pick and choose
what other games I watch too...how well I enjoy a particular offense or
defense as far as watching them goes.
Guess who texted me in the fourth quarter.....hint, she sings, she's blonde
and she was watching the game from New Orleans.....I was watching the game
in the bedroom, my wife fell asleep.
Text sex, ey? LOL.
Text sex, ey? LOL.
About the Jets??????? You are kinky....we texted about football.
Jean gets up at 5 AM....a couple of hours after I go to sleep :-) She knows
Lisa too well, trusts her, not me :-)
Smart gal, Jean.
Yeah...everybody thinks Jean is Lisa's mother, they look a lot alike. I
know when I've got a good thing.
Smart gal, Jean.
She doesn't have to worry...not a bit. I'm way too old. :-)
So they are both blind?
