guy, and also some of the other DB's. I'm hoping that now he has enough
confidence to start shuttling these guys in and out, to make Peyton, "I'm
not doing enough commercials", Manning have to deal with additional bodies
and tendencies. Let's face it, with no rush, they need to do something
different or we'll need 40 to win.

JK, Warren Sapp sounded like Papa on Sunday saying that BB figured out
how to neutralize our CB's by working the middle.
He suggested moving both inside trusting the safeties & nickels to
cover. ??? Papa, our resident defensive expert do you have any
thoughts on this?
What can I say? Sapp played the game and did it fairly well for quite some
time. I agree with him. It's not just BB now either...we are seeing other
teams move to this stuff...if you take away the dominant WR....the game
changes dramatically....even if you scheme to get the Corners good support
it takes away a lot of that system with all the outside stuff. If you play
a lot of two deep stuff you NEED a MLB who can cover and get his butt
downfield in a hurry.....and some teams have found those guys....so OC's
have gone back to an inside game, and the rules this season helped it a lot
too....if a receiver goes over the middle now, you can not just take him out
or make him "pay"....it's illegal now...that moves the game back inside. I
feel bad for Chad Pennington...he could have played this game now, he threw
really well in the inside game.

One thing that also occurred to me is that if Cro & Revis moved inside
would they expect a blitz from them? So either doing it or showing it
might be effective?

This is hard to describe without a chalk board :-) One scheme I know gets
used is like a "four across"....and one of those guys is "hot" to the blitz
or the ball on run while the other three and a nickle back or a LB are
dropping into coverage....I doubt you want to blitz Revis or Cromartie...but
you can still bring it and have them move inside by jumping out of this
allignment....I think part of this has to do with the LB getting a good read
and being part of the under coverage....maybe part of the problem has been
that with little pass rush they needed LB's to come and that can hurt if you
get a guy in the seam...that LB is either man or on under coverage...I still
think you can use those two more effective...my guess is Rex will put them
in some kind of man coverage scheme...oh how I wish they had a dominant pass
rusher.

Until Cro had to make a tackle and whiffed.
