Watching Witten tonight who runs routes well, unlike Keller, has sure
hands, unlike Keller. Jealous. Keller is a huge disappointment this
season.
You are hell bent on an all or nothing approach. BuRf, it's not a
mater of "is it Schott OR is it the players?" Please stop presenting
it as such. Schott sucks but Keller frucking drops everything and he
has been dropping everything since the bye week. He is just not very
good. His blocking has imnproved? Oh really? Who do you think
miffed on the 2nd Wake sack of Sanchez? Yup, our very own Dustin. I
have to check the DVR but it might have been him on the 1st Wake
sack. Keller has NOT improved much in blocking as far as I can tell.
When are you going to stop excusing players for horrible play? Rex
and Schott don't get them ready mentally or physically. But on the
field, it is the players who can't catch a cold and can't block.
Sanchez has been running for his life for weeks. The run game has
vanished. Unfortunately for Sanchez, the few passes that are actually
on target get dropped and the rest are behind their targets or
overthrown. He has played very poorly of late. Its a total collapse
and yes it starts with the game plan, which I agree sucks, but in no
way should you or anyone excuse these players for their sloppy
terrible play. come on man the players here are stinking up the
place as well as the coaches, especially Rex, doing a piss poor job
managing this team. Maybe Rex should give them extra time off again.
LOL.
He has been beyond awful of late. Keller really sucks too. Watching
Witten play last night made me extremely frustrated with Keller's
disappointing play. He drops everything and his route running is very
bad. Obviously his is not a contract that's going to be renewed when
the time comes. I do agree with the ASM however that Schott's game
plans and play calling have to go. It is awful. He doesn't go after
the opposition's weaknesses and the league always knows what's
coming. I agree with the ASM 100% on that and I want Schotty outta
here. Unfortunately, I don't think that his dismissal is the only
thing that needs to change. But it is an important one. I doubt he's
getting a HC gig anywhere and somehow Woody and/or Tanny + Rex are
enslaved to him. I don't get it.
so you are saying Keller's, Cocth's, Edwards' and even Holmes' drops
are attributable to the pre snap motion because an insufficient amount
of time is spent in practiced on the actual play? Their failure to
concentrate is caused by this? I'm not saying you are wrong, but can
you offer a hint of support for this concept? Keller had 2-3 rip
roaring great games at the outset of the season withthe same pre snap
motion. And then started to drop everything (as he did as a rookie).
Cotch hasn't been himself all season but in past years (under Schott
withthe same convoluted plays) was pretty damned sure handed. What
changed? It's the same offensive scheme as past years under Schitty,
right? There's something going on and I have no idea what it is. I'm
thinking its the whole relaxed summer camp atmosphere of Rex Ryan's NY
Jets. I don't think they practice hard at all under Rex. Again I'll
offer the comparison to Herm's Jets.... no hard practices, lack of
work ethic... plenty of days off... summer camp for vets... not
unlike Herm's Jets at all. Only with Rex there is arrrogance attached
to the poor work ethic of the team. With Herm there was stupidity
attached to the poor work ethic. The similoarities are starting to
worry me.
Yup.....and I was not in favor of him being the go to TE either....and when
I said that a whole bunch of folks told me how good DK was. I'd still
rather have a big blocking TE who could occasionally catch....I have no idea
why they have Hartstock or whatever his name is...he goes in...it's a run.
No...he hasn't...and when he is in...the D knows it is probably a run to his
side...or a cut back off the run to his side.
Well...as you said...they don't look prepared or ready...and you are
right...someone needs to hold these high priced players accountable.
I would guess you are guessing right here...they don't look like a team that
has been "drilled"....it is very sloppy play.
Again I'll
offer the comparison to Herm's Jets.... no hard practices, lack of
work ethic... plenty of days off... summer camp for vets... not
unlike Herm's Jets at all. Only with Rex there is arrrogance attached
to the poor work ethic of the team. With Herm there was stupidity
attached to the poor work ethic. The similoarities are starting to
worry me.
Well...on this we absolutely agree....way too much arrogance and BS from Rex
& Co.
