the jets defense did not do that badly. the fish play calling and
execution was brilliant. if they had revis they would not have given
up so many passing yards. this is cromarties first year in a new
defense and wilson is a rookie that does not even know to turn his
head to look at the ball. i cant imagine that they are coaching him to
burry his face in the wr's chest when the ball is in the air

Michael, a good defense should negate all the good play calling and
execution. Rex is way too cute sometimes and gambles when he
shouldn't...Cromartie was great, but had little support I thought...when did
you hear the names of the safeties being there...that last Dolphin drive was
horrendous defense on the Jets part and damn near cost them the game. I do
think the O took a huge step forward tonight and people can no longer say
any conservative stuff by Schott is because of Sanchez...he grew up tonight.

papa... what did you think of what the jet defense did on the last
series where they just about let miami steal one ??? I could not
understand why they did not go into a major pressure package to
shorten passing routs with a double on marshal. the jet defense did
the exact opposite of what i would have expected. did you agree with
what rex was doing ???

NO!!! Like Burf said....Rex was confused by Henning tonight...he was not
ready for how they did some stuff...and the Fins did use that wildcat crap
to wear them down...that's all it was about, keep them moving in that
heat...it's a Hell of a lot easier to defend some pass plays for those big
guys....two or three plays of wildcat in a row give them issues unless you
flat out kill it...they did do well against it for the most part...that last
Miami series made the Jets look confused I thought.

I'm on a Dolphins website and they are KILLING Henning and the play
calling.

You have to admit that the wildcat calls were puzzling. And not one run
down near the goal at the end? And who calls play action on 3rd at 15?

the florida heat must be getting to the fish fans. henning was
brilliant. the play calling put rex ryan off ballance. how many can
do that ? to say in defense of rex, he was working with a rookie cb,
and their best player at cb is dealing with a hammy. the manpower in
the defensive backfield was an issue for the jets as much as the heat
was

Papa, I thought Rex & secondary sat back too much tonight. They were
dropping back into coverage & not blitzing enough.

We have to find the money to keep Harris.

Any attempt at blitzing Henne while doubling Marshall would leave at
least one of Fasano, Hartline or Bess wide open, which Henne aptly
demonstrated he could exploit throughout the game. Ultimately the
choice came down to multiple coverage on Marshall or extreme pressure
on Henne. The Jets escaped. Get well soon Revis. Real soon.

i think lowrey is good on guys like fasano and heartline. i still
think they should have pressured more especially on that last fish
series. i still dont understand why rex played it that way. also...
gotta say again... the fish offense is one of the best for causing
problems for the jets style of defense that tends to over commit. i'd
bet the farm that they pats defesne will have a much better time
agaisnt the fish than the jets defesne did. i think you need to play
gap control and keep your patience against the fish offense. the jets
defense does most of its thinking before the snap. that is what the
fish offense wants. it is full of options.
