I'm really shocked by the lack of chatter and trolling here this week? My
guess is that they think Jets will win, and will wait to pounce if they
don't? But isn't that what pratt and the rest do?

I have many of the trolls killfiled, so I haven't noticed a decrease in
traffic, if indeed they've taken a break.

Quietly optimistic here.

I think the Jets *can* beat anyone in the playoffs. Last year seemed
an easier route than is presented this year. The Bengals, who we'd
crushed the week before, then the Chargers, 'norv said there ... and
then we came up against the *rested* Colts and Peyton picked us apart
in the 2nd half.

This year, the Colts are beaten up and apart from Leonard and Jenkins,
we've done OK, injury-wise. We can certainly win the first one, and

word is that Shonn Greene is starting on Saturday. Read that from a
guy called "scoops" who has inside info and occasionally posts little
advance notices of things before they are announced.

I'm thinking that seeing as :-

a) Indy can't stop the run.
b) We want to run the ball.
c) We want to limit Indy to 7 possessions (or fewer)
d) We've proved that Greene and McKnight can actually run the ball.

That Schitty's going to come out slinging.

I am amazed how Scoops is always right. He has been right every time
and with big Jets news. He's one of the reasons I check into JI. He
definitely works for the Jets in Florham Park.

This is going to be a high scoring game with lots of passing. Colts
will be playing the run forcing the Jets to the air and the Colts
don't run well, even with Addai back in the lineup. I expect to see
both teams scoring in the 30's.

the jets offense, if taken drive by drive, is much more productive
when Sanchez throws on first down for at least 50% of the time. the
key for the jets is not to either "run it" or "pass it". They can do
both. The jets have an embarrassment of talent on offense. The key
for the Jets is to mix it up, as they are quite capable of. That does
not mean "getting cute" with stupid trick plays that Schotty pulls out
of his ass irrespective of the context of the game. The best way to
be productive both running and passing is to prove to the defense that
you can do BOTH by executing them both and keep them thinking that all
game long. This is what opens opportunities for your offense all game
long. When balance is applied intelligently, offensive successes is
self perpetuating. Fortunately for the Jets... After the sickening
performance by the Jets offense in the Miami game, Schotty started
getting some *help* from Callahan and Cavanaugh. Cont on that *help*
to keep coming and count on the Jets offense to be as dynamic as it
has been the past three weeks. The Colts are in for a long evening.

We kick the shit out of Jets fans on a routine basis at the Bru's Room
in Ft Lauderdale. It's fun because the NY'ers won't fight unless they
have you outnumbered 3 to 1. But that never happens since the
Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills fans all hate the Jets fans. Nobody
wants to hear the fans of a team that has never won anything talk shit.
