The new WRs are a concern for me. Braylon wasn't a true burner, but he
had good speed. We are a lot slower with Burress instead of him.

At that, IINM J-Co is faster than the 37-yr old Mason? Not that J-Co
would be confused with Jesse Owens.

Bright spots regarding WR speed: Santonio has good speed (4.35 at the
combine) and Kerley has okay speed but is elusive. Maybe the Jets
start utilizing Santonio's home-run potential more this year, since
they seemingly have two good possession types in Burress & Mason.

Then there's the learning curve: to replace your 1b (Braylon) and No.
3 (J-Co) WRs so late in the offseason - there could be some hiccups
early on. At least Burress & Mason are savvy vets.

as long as the jets use keller properly, they have no big worries at
wr. even if mason winds up being their number 2 with plax injured.
also keep in mind, Tomlinson is a top notch rout runner. we have no
game time production yet from j. kurley, but if he produces as well as
he is being talked up, he could be the #3 behind mason.

with brandon moore coming off hip surgery, hunter as the new RT
starter and only turner as back-up as ducasse looked clueless last
year, the jet o-line is the big worry for me. no o-line means no
running or passing and may be a dead qb. it also counts against the
defense. offensive time of possession is one of the most under rated
stats in the game. long time of possession for the offense translates
into having a well rested defense. hence, a great defense. all of
that is up to the o-line. some have said "the best defense is a good
offense"... i have modified that...

"The best defense is a good offensive line"
