Pittsburgh is a much better team than the Pats, IMO. They have a real
RB in Mendenhall (Pats running game was centered around Danny
Woodhead... PATHETIC), The pass rush is 100 times more intense than
what the Pats have and the secondary and run stopping ability of the
DL/LB are vastly to suerior than those of the Pats. I also like
Wallace better than the overhyped runt Branch (who has never done shit
without brady and now does nothing wioth Brady). And not for a minute
should anyone underestimate what Ward is capable of, even in his
advanced age. The Steelers OL is beat up a bit so I'm thinking the
Jets can force Roethlisberger to scramble around a lot. But this
rapist tends to be very successful, in fact sometimes deadly, when he
throws on the run. Roethlisbergger also doesn't fold like a paper
doll when hit like Brady does. In any event, the Steelers should (on
paper at least) be a much more formidable opponent than the overrated
Patriots.

Stop it Michael. I watched the Jets Steelers again last night and on
that final drive there were 2-3 no call PI's the refs missed.

for me, this has been a high-risk/high-reward playoff run... i cant
stand manning... sweet if they win, miserable if they lose... they
win... sweet ! after the national blow out up in NE, sweet if they
can pay NE back in a divisional game, miserable if they lose. they
win... sweet... now... on to the team i cant stand the most. the nfl
brand name steelers that were just about handed two superbowls by the
league .sweet if they win, miserable if they lose. give that the
jets have already sent two hof qb's packing in upset wins, if the jets
beat the steelers sunday, you have to consider it to be one of the
best playoff runs of all time.

Thought the Jets were going to beat the Broncos, but the team
imploded. Didn't think they were going to get past the Colts, but all
hope went up in smoke the moment the moment Greene went down. This
year, it feels different, I think back to the 49'ers, Pats, GB,
Broncos, Steelers, where HOF players on their last leg joined a winner
to retire with a title and this Jet team feels like it. The Steelers
are equally talented, but injured, the Jets have moved on with
substitutes, so this comes down to who wants it more. I think the Jet
vets won't be denied, they will be more focused and willing to claw
out a win.

or better yet, none of the above... i'm waiting to come in here and
lay down a new post with a word that begins with "S" and follow it up
with half a dozen exclamation points.

The Jets will easily handle the Steelers, they suck. GB is another
matter.

LOL. Are you saying you pick the Steelers? That's bold, Tex.

Stick your foot out, make a prediction. I dare you.

As opposed to sticking my foot out and putting it in my mouth as you
do daily?

My gut feeling is we can beat the Steelers. if that happens chi is
the tougher match up as cutler is not consistent but more dangerous.

Agreed.

But lets wait until the cart gets over the line before we sing the
Horse's praises.

The Steelers are a good team, they are at home, and there is a
statistically significant correlation between suffering bad calls and
playing the Steelers.

I think we have more talent. Do Shott and Rex keep it KISS. Does Shott
go back to his fancy motion, and tricky plays or is he willing to attack
them where they ain't. Will use our talent to take Wallace and Ward out
of the game and if he does, how does he stop Heath Miller? If it is Eric
Smith, we are done.

You're thinking of Rex and Aioli.

Your gut, or your prediction? Have the courage of your convictions.
Don't tell me you are superstitious?

Three times, say it: JETS win, JETS win, JETS win. Click your heels
together.

Regardless of whether it is Sanchez being too dumb, Shott (or who ever
determines the plays) being too clever, the OL not getting into a
rhythm, Sanchez tends to do better when there is not a whole lot of pre
snap motion, there is a lot of play action on early downs, the passes
are not long bombs but in the 10 -18 yard range, and a few sprint outs.

I suspect that if we go back to the motion, avoid the play action throw,
throw long, and mix in some wildcat to set up second and third and
longs, some will blame Sanchez, some will blame Shott, but few Jet fans
will be celebrating.

John, add humor to the list of skills you lack....

Can't do it, can you John? Can't make that pick. No balls.
