Before you go all yippy-skippy, the Pats today
were lucky to win. The defense is certifiably
terrible after having had a bye week to correct
things and with no change. Brady almost had
a pick 6 on one of the first plays of the game,
if the Buffalo player hadn't dropped it the
game may have had a different character
entirely. I expect the Pats to make the playoffs,
but that's it.

I've never understood this argument. If they were lucky to win today, were they unlucky to lose against Baltimore, Arizona, and Seattle (by a total of 4 points, by the way)? If we're going to treat this win like a loss, why don't we treat those losses like a win? They actually played a lot better against those three teams than they did today.

So ok. If we're gonna play shoulda coulda woulda and give them a loss today, let's use the same rationale and give them three wins. That makes them 8-1.

Some teams find a way to win no matter how bad they play--others just don't
know how to win. Attitude plays a big part in a team's persona--if you feel
like a loser, you become a loser. Self fulfilling prophesy.

[sighhhhhhh....] The point of my post was not that
they coulda-shoulda-woulda won or lost anything.
The point was: the defense sucks, and it's
not going to cut it in the playoffs.

The defense was worse last year, and they did ok in the playoffs.

They're also expecting to add their two best players in the secondary this week.

Interesting take on the Pats D, not sure I
believe it, but it made me feel better:

Not for nothing, but you could remember to snip shit a bit more. Makes
the conversation annoying to follow, and it really doesn't take much work.

As a matter of fact, I'll use your post as a platform to ask all of us
regs to snip what doesn't refer directly on the comments we make.

Ever since I started using google, I don't notice it. One of the few things google does right, actually. Sorry about that.

Johnny...Perhaps you should become a Patriots fan?

Matter of fact, I invite ALL Jets fans to become Patriots fans.

All you need do is renounce Joe Namath and embrace Satan and Bill
Bellechick. I'll take care of the rest. Go Pats.

I bet that your bride wishes they didn't snip so much.

I agree...

I will forgive and forget about your past when you become a Pat's fan.
