Here's Coles stats before and after Pennington was named the starter.

Pre Pennington, four games.
Games Started 4 Avg Rcpts 3.6 Avg. YPG 23 TD's 0

Pennington became starter in 5th game. Coles stats from 5th game to end of
season:

Games Started 12 Avg Rcpts 6.2 Avg. YPG 93 TD's 5
Last time I checked Washington hadn't signed Pennington to a contract.

So, Mongo, let me see if I get this straight...

When you want to color stats supporting your contention Conway is not a
drop-off from Coles you quote "1st half of season's stats" for Coles, i.e.-
with VT floundering as QB for half of the games (out of courtesy, I will
decline to elaborate how much you have gushed about VT in the past and how
signing him to a ridiculous deal was in Green's best interests). Is this
not a direct contradiction to your OWN argument that Penny and Coles make
lovely music together in your attempt to smear your past idol's success?
Have you NO shame? (OK- speaking of shame, shame on ME for such a stupid,
obvious question)...

Mongo, Tokyo Rose has nothing on you! Neither do the folks in Orwell's
"1984", although I am sure that comparison is lost on you.

sucks!'"

I accept your opinion on Coles as one from someone who, I'm sure, watches
all Jets games (versus the two Miami Jets games I watch plus any Sunday
night/ Monday Night/ Thursday/ Playoffs extras).

Perhaps my respect for Coles grew out of seeing performances like his in the
Miracle, ripping the ball out of Madison's grip and single-handedly giving
green hope, and if memory serves, Testicles was QB. This is completely
beside the point, though..

There is NO question great receivers need good QB's to shine. This,
however, was not the argument I was rebutting.
In fact, I support it. Rather, I was merely reviewing the continued bias,
illogic, and inconsistency of my favorite Jetsie fire hydrant, as my foot is
too sore to kick my dog today. When the fool wants to make Coles look bad,
he uses VT based stats... When he wants to make Penny look good- he
includes Coles as material support.

You don't even have to bait the hook to reel in a Dolphin troll. You are
conceding that Coles poor stats with VT at QB means that it was Pennington, not
Coles who gave Coles better stats. Now, please name the 12 QB's that Conway has
played with as a Bear or a Charger. As Francecsa said on his show recently,
'I'll guarantee you Conway will have more TD's than Coles".

Why don't you crunch your numbers and see what Pennington stats were without
Coles because that is what we can expect in september.

Francesa isn't a football fan anymore. If he paid attention to 5 Jet games
last year I'd be shocked. Even if he were right, and he seems to be less than
Sid Rosenberg, it doesn't mean that Conway will be a better receiver than Coles
was in the Hackett WCO.

Coles ability to catch a 5 yard in pass and turn it into a 30 yard gain will be
missed. Conway has always been a vertical receiver and won't be the player
Coles was.

Damn your such a retard. Anyone thats in green is the best thats every played
to you boobster. Coles was better than Conway, 90% of people that follow and
understand football will agree to that. So shut up.

Maybe. But we do expect to have THE Santana Moss for the Miami Hurricanes
this year. (As opposed to the imitation one that was here for the past two
years.) If reports out of Jets camp can be believed, Santana has finally
arrived. Kind of like Coles in his third year with the Jets "arrived".
If these reports are true, Moss will make up for those screen passes
becoming 30 yard gains.

Always optimistic,
Rich

Mongo- Francecsa is perhaps the only talking head out there with less
credibility than you.

Reread my post until you understand it, rather than misquoting me. I will
repost in a larger font if it will help.

As for the "bait the hook" line, Mongo, didn't your mother tell you
self-created praise is worthless?

And, speaking of trolls, who is that "rajensen088" dipshit that leaves his
scat all over the Fins ng, you bloody hypocrite?

I'm just curious, how does a fish fan know about Fatcessa? Did he get

A.) For some unknown reason, there are fish fans in the NY area. (Amazing,
but true.) I am sure Scott can explain what caused this unbelieveable
phenomenon to occur. Probably a result of nuclear or biological testing
that affected them in the womb.

B.) Did you ever hear of the YES television network? They broadcast his
radio show live.
