planning of an NFL season of all time, considering they want to win
now, or RR thinks that somehow Sanchez is going to learn from this
kind of experience, but then that would mean that the season was
sacrificed to get this guy "experience." Keeping him in the game was
all risk and no reward. The other players might start to resent this
special treatment, because no decent coach keeps a rookie QB in the
game when he's playing that badly (unless your team is going nowhere
for a season or two). Something big has to happen, or else this team
will be unwatchable for a long time, not just for the remainder of
this season. Sanchez will only get worse under these conditions
otherwise.

this season is over. He needs the playing time and the eperience. He
needs much better coaching. Although it will brutal to watch, he
needs to play. 2009 is his season-long training camp.

However, a few weeks back, he needed to be replaced in order to try to
salvage the season. If RR didn't think he had anyone better, then
that is one horrible job of head coaching, because you have to assume
that a rookie QB might play like this, and if you are looking to win
this year, you must have an option. I'm glad I just watch these games
"casually," when I do watch them.

Sanchez should sit. At almost any other level, and even on most NFL teams
he would. I'm thinking this means they have done very little with the
backup QB's. It is also obvious to me that Sanchez is not getting too much
in the way of coaching or game prep, he is getting worse in all areas and
that is really bad. It looks like Pete Carroll was right, he should have

As far sitting him, like i said in the other post, what is he going to
learn watching Clemens play. You don't even hear a dissenting players
comments that Clemens should be the QB.

Well, the season's over now. So now it's about Sanchez getting reps.
There's no better place to learn than on the field and in practice with
the 1st team offense. Benching him now would set him back even further
for next year.

I don't agree, Sanchez is like the little girl with the curl nursery
rhyme. When he is good he is very good but when he is bad he is
horrible. There rarely is a game that does not hit one of those
extremes. He needs to have more good than bad right now.

Good call. He made some unbelievable throws and then some throws that I
can't believe an NFL QB would make. The long ball to Cotchery was as
well thrown as you could possibly imagine. The pick six to Bodden was
as asinine a throw I've seen all year.
He's very green. I can't believe I thought the Jets could succeed with
him this year. Either Rex (or Woody?) made a bad decision to start him
this year, or Clemens really is that bad.

Why would you say that? Maybe Rex, Bartt Scott and Kerry Rhodes but I
think Sanchez has been a model citizen so far.
