Gotta be able to throw to contend for/in the post season. Been this
way for several years since the league mandated refs to strictly
enforce illegal contact/holding beyond 5 yards. Defenders can hardly
lay a finger on receivers past 5 yards.
IINM last year's Super Bowl was the all-time low in rushing yards. It
is said NE's defense isn't as strong prior versions, but more than
anything it was Peyton & Co's potent passing assault that pressured
Belichick's 4th-down gamble.
