To me, this looks like Rex has decided the kid has the tools but needs more
experience etc. I hope that also means that Rex realizes he needs to get
the staff to develop the kid. This is when someone like Dan Henning on
staff makes a difference. Way too many of the guys that get these jobs are
not really skilled at the teaching end of the deal, it isn't enough to just
know the skills necessary, you have to be able to communicate them well, and
that is where some excel and others fail. Tuna always had people around him
who were good "communicators." Again, OMHO Papa Carl

yeah... he needs more on the sideline than a guy to get him a hotdog.
do you find it odd that he is off on his own pouting when he screws
up ??? obviously, by his footwork and some of the amazing throws that
he makes, there is major ability there. it also appears that he's not
improving. the bad decisions that he makes just keep coming...

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets little or no real coaching in that
direction, he gets lectured to, but I'll bet he isn't really coached.

It's too late to bench him now. He might as well let him play through
the season without the pressure of playoff expectations. Hell, at this
point Rex is probably thinking the more losses the better. Each loss
gives him a better draft slot to get a pass rushing DE in the draft.
