And just traded down again.
Even better they trade 5 spots down...will likely still get the guy
they want plus in total they grab a free 3rd round pick.
For the guy they picked they could have traded down 4 more times
too.......I don't like passing on Kindle at all....this guy had better
be a player because forget Bellichick's picks his LB non picks that
he's passed on have proven to be a pretty decent bunch the last 3
years and Kindle could join that group.
=======================================================================
Yeah a CB . a good one is hard to find. this guy better pan out.
I was sure they saw Kindle was safe for them. I thought LBs were a need,
and we have plenty of CB ...even if he moves to Safety as suggested
we've got that pretty well covered too.....

BB had better be brilliant in the next few rounds.
I don't like this pick at all. Reminds me of the Canty pick years ago.
With all of their needs, they pick a special teamer? The Pats almost always
pick mutts who only finally pan out in the last year of their contracts.
It's rediculous.
To me I love picking great athletes but where does he play EVEN if
he's great..you have like 5 corners and 3 safeties as is.
I wouldn't mind so much if he was very highly touted. By the time
he'd be ready to staart, there'd be room. But I can't see any
appreciable difference between this guy and what they could've had
in the 2nd or 3rd round.
The Pats have a mediocre backfield. The Pats almost always finish
first in their division so they don't get many high picks. The last
thing close to a superstar they got was Asante Samuel, he was a
fourth round pick. It's all a total crapshoot, better to have lots
of picks in the lower rounds if you don't finish last in the league.

I agree that much of it is speculative, but some are better than
others at maximizing their chances for success, and I dont think the
Pats are at the top of that heap.

In fact, over the last five years, 31% of Pats draft picks are still on the
roster, ranked 32nd in the league.

I mean that 31 other teams have a better percentage of their draft picks
actually making the team.

And which teams were the best? What were the other teams that were
poor pickers? What's the relationship between the Pats season ranking
and their pick? Not too many teams have finished first in their division
many years in a row, so not many teams always get lower draft choices.
How did the Pats do on their first round picks?
J.
maybe the other teams just keep more of the bums.
