Granted, a majority of the big plays were against sad ass ACC teams,
one of the few conferences that what was once the Big East could make
fun of ;-) , but nonetheless, the kid is a natural RB used to playing
at JRS.

What the video doesn't show is that he also has good hands,
and is a patient runner. Once he makes up his mind, he just goes.

He also seems hard to bring down. Arm tackles don't work against this
guy.

I hate to rain on the parade, but he was running through Emmit Smith sized
holes on many of those plays. Our OL and special teams aren't exactly known
for that kind of dominance. I hope I'm wrong, and admittedly I've never
seen the guy play. I'll remain hopefyl, but until I see how he can hit much
smaller holes that are open much more briefly, I'm tempering my
expectations.

I wonder why he was still available in the 4th round. Does he have
some off-field issues, or was it just a size thing?

I am *SO* happy they ended up with Miller. As long as he doesn't have
lingering injury issues, he will be a great back. Great vision and quick to
get to his amazing top end speed. Can be a bruiser but probably not as often
in the NFL.

Did I mention I was happy we got him?

Give me some comfort her. If Miller reminds you of TG, I HOPE it is not
in the inability to change directions. TG was very fast but had to
almost stop to change directions. I do feel much better knowing Miller
doesn't wear a dress. <sigh>

I'm thinking more of his potential contribution as a KO returner. I'll
think he'll be better than Ginn in that regard, because he doesn't
appear to be timid about contact and has very close to the same speed
and acceleration.

As for ability to change direction, I'd have to give Ginn a little more
credit than you do. If you go back and watch that second return for a TD
against the Jets he does a pretty good job of changing direction just as
he's about to get tackled early in the return.

I'm going from old man memory but isn't that the return where he is
almost stopped, looks around, sees an empty sideline and turns it on?
Nonetheless, a courageous TG sounds good to me. Now, if he has good
hands . . .
