"after his (Sean Smith) quick absorption of the scheme and showing
natural movement skills, word is he has a slight edge on winning the
starting job opposite Will Allen."
<snip>
"Offseason acquisition Eric Green is anything but a good bet to even
claim the nickel job after many initially penciled him in as a starter."
NOTE: I realize this is one reporters opinion.
My interest here is
1) Smith beating out Will Allen? I expected this for Jason Allen, but
Will? That's pretty impressive.
2) Green not even a nickel back? That is a significant demotion.
Is it reasonable to see a little hyperbole here?
I will be surprised if Miami starts 2 rookie corners.
Given his salary, I would expect Green is at least a nickel or gone.
It didn't say Smith beat out Will Allen, it says he would start opposite
of him.
Hey dude, I take offense. Just because I can't read doesn't mean you
have to point it out!! I have a very weak ego.
OK, so it doesn't say "winning the starting job FROM Will Allen."
Opposite. . . From . . . they look so much alike.
Now that I am back to reality, this makes more sense. Unless, I read
the second part wrong, it will be interesting to see how the Eric Green
affair plays out.
I thought about pointing it out, too. It hurts my feelings to see you
get so bent out of shape about what I thought about almost doing. Wah.
Wouldn't go that far. Let's say I am communications-challenged. Or,
more ego soothing - ink-based-media-uninterpretive.
Oh, so you are one of those Anti-Inkists? I thought such blatent prejudice
was gone in this century!

No offense intended. I have just made it my life's work to point out
others errors.
I feel that eventually I will make an error also, and some schmuck like
me will point it out, so I'm getting my revenge before it happens.
Okay, let me help. The errors of others is the preferred wording but is
possessive as written and should have been "other's errors."
Ta daaa.

I wood of thought he had it write the first time. Its to confusing
too keep all these English terms strait in my head. Must be why Iggy
considers its such a barbaric language.
Just helping the guy out. ;-)
