Do the Bengals have anything to play for Sunday against the Jets? I
ask beacause someone wants to bet me the game and I'm not sure if
they'll just lay down and act like little girls the way the Colts
did.

I'm pretty sure the #3 seed is at stake. Who knows whether that's enough to
put the starters on the field.

It may or may not be, depending on what NE does earlier in the day,
but whether that's more important than getting some rest before the
wildcard game is debatable. If I'm Cinnci, I lay down for a couple of
reasons. 1)Rest, and 2)If they lose, they play the Jets again next
week, so don't show them anything, be totally vanilla. It reminds me
of a similar situation with the Chiefs and Raiders in the Todd
Marinovich era. KC laid down, Marinovich looked great, and everyone
thought the Raiders would kill us in the playoff game. Then, the REAL
Chiefs played, Marinovich was clueless seeing our real D, and we
kicked their butt.

I think I remember that game. It was low scoring, and towards the end
I believe the Raiders commited 4 or 5 penalties ina row while trying
to drive on offense. The crowd noise was amazing and it threw the
Raiders timing off completely.

I had completely forgotten we'd ever had a playoff game against
Marijuanavich.

That was a great time in Chiefs' history...

...and Raiders' history!
