To his defense, 2 of them weren't really his fault and the last one was just
out of pure desperation.
Still, it was a ridiculously horrendous game on his part. On the sidelines,
it looked like he was more worried about defending himself and throwing
tantrums, rather than trying to rally his team. That's the crap I don't miss
at all. He may have a strong arm, but this game may have been evidence that
he'll never be a leader.
I really DO hope he gets it together, but the more I watch him this year,
the more I like Kyle Orton. Cutler may be a rare talent, but he's starting
to remind me of Jeff George.

It's a strong piece of evidence on top of a lot of other evidence.
I'm sorry, but any QB who finger points and shows up his teamates on
the field is an egocentric tool. There's no way a guy like that can
forge the unity of purpose necessary to be successful in a team sport
like football.

that's the thing about Cutler, he MAY be a rare talent, or he MAY be
just another guy with a low number on his jersey. he's unproven and
takes as many games off as he shows up for. I'd like him on my team,
and I'd hope he'd grow into a player, but I wouldn't pay him what he's
making now. hasn't earned it yet.

interesting comparison. I'd say he's working his way down George
Boulevard, but could still make a turn off. A year ago, he was on
Elway Avenue.

Heh. As I recall, for his first season Plummer was undefeated (or
nearly so) in games where he threw exactly one INT.
