wanted the investigation done in less than a week. Boston said a �proper
inquiry would take at least six months.� Admiral McCain also wouldn�t
permit Admiral Kidd to travel to Israel or to contact any potential
Israelis witnesses. In fact, according to Boston, the written affidavits
of 60 witnesses from the Liberty itself, who were hospitalized at the
time of the restricted Inquiry, were also excluded from the final report
and not considered as part of the evidentiary record.

name was). He said at the end of the day the Democrats and
Republicans go off to have dinner together while they both profit from
their labor. Meanwhile, they keep us voters at each other's throats
by stirring up hatred between the two parties. This keeps us from
unifying and demanding the types of reforms from the politicians that
would really be beneficial to the country. Unfortunately, I think
there's more than a little truth in this. We are distracted from the
real issues by scandals, pigs, and lipstick. And anytime one side
proposes something that might make sense, the other side opposes it
just because it comes from the wrong party.

additional information about the Forrestal incident. It is believed by
many crewmen and those who have investigated the case that McCain
deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E to shake up the guy in the plane
behind his A-4. 'Wet-starts', done either deliberately or accidentally,
shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.
In McCain's case, the 'wet-start' apparently 'cooked off' and launched
the Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that touched off the explosions and
massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration.

pilots. McCain was quickly transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only

he is due. I re-read the report on the Forestall and it was a zuni not a

What isn't true about the above? There is no way his A4 could do a "wet
start" without afterburners. A "wet start" in a military AC is done by
delivering fuel to the engine and lighting the afterburner and causing what
amounts to a "backfire" when the fuel ignites. The reference to Bristow's
book is just a description of what the term "wet start" means when it comes
to non-afterburner aircraft. His book is a must read for a commercial pilot
wanting to get hired by a major carrier. I am not McCain fan, but when the
extremists try to pass off ridiculous stories as fact all they do is
humiliate themselves and those who believe their BS. It doesn't take much
research to find the real facts if you stay away from the tin foil hat
crowd.
