To whoever it was who predicted that Texas would
go 5-8 over its next 13 games, lose both its
coordinators and reportedly its Opie before
2010 was out: I hope you put money on it.

I thought '97 was bizarre, but this is a free
fall unlike anything I've ever seen, I think.

Part of me is very worried a 1986-1997 slide might be in store for us
if we don't make the right hires. But also, Mack has got to give up
some control, especially on who calls the shots at starting positions.
There is no reason why the OL who were terrible this year, false
starting, and killing drives should have kept their jobs. It was only
due to injuries that we even saw the younger guys. I thought the
"these guys bled for our program" stuff died in 2007.

Now if we get a fire breather in here at DC and a guy like Harsin at
OC, all the while keeping Major and Akina (both rumored to be leaving)
then we'll get better. I just fear Mack is holding on too tightly.
