I am so sick of Time Warner fighting with networks. Every other
provider works out deals with networks. I really am getting tired of
this shit. Every year... same old story with a different network. It
looks like January 1st all FOX stations will be dropped off Time
Warner Cable. This means the four bowls listed in the subject line
will not be on television if you have TWC. I live far enough out in
Hutto that the broadcast signal I get is a crappy one. I just need to
move where I can get Grande.

I can get Grande. And I guarantee you that if I turn on the TV Friday morning,
and I can't get Fox, I am leaving them. Period. No discussion.

What pisses me off about Time Warners current feuds:

NFL Network/Time Warner:
NFL says it's about: Time Warner is taking away my right to see NFL football
Time Warner says it's about: NFL wants to charge me more to watch NFL football

What it really is about:
Both the NFL and Time Warner make tons of money. Their fight is about making
more money. If the NFL had their way they would make tons and tons of money and
Time Warner would make only a ton more money. While if Time Warner had their
way, TW would make tons and tons of money, while the NFL would only make a ton
of money.

This whole Fox/Time Warner thing is the same way. Frankly, if I lose Fox News,
I lose no sleep. But I also lose the ability to watch the Dallas Cowboys. NO
WAY.

No Cowboys vs Eagles game either. I already had to watch the Cowboys
beat the Saints at a bar this year... Not to mention the Cowboys vs
Packers game last year... I really don't like going to bars for
football.

the local fox channel in san antonio isn't affected by the time warner-
news corp dispute. however, i will lose fox sports, fx, fuel, and
speed, fox reality, fox soccer, and fox sports en espanol. what this
means is i will lose out on Spurs games, a few Longhorns/Big XII
basketball games. looks like it's time for me to switch to u-verse,
grande, or one of the satellite channels.

Time to downgrade. I watch all the television shows via torrent on my
computer anyway. From what I understand, Time Warner offers an "a la
carte" option. I think I may just choose 10 channels and get rid of
the rest.
