I don't normally dig reality shows, but I *love* this one!

I wonder if Texas Tech will get Donald Trump to break the news live on
ESPN... "YOU'RE FIRED!!!"

So I watched the halftime story on this. I don't think I understood.
The player was left in a room alone after a head injury? Aren't you
supposed to stay with someone after a head injury and make sure they
stay awake? Is that why they are complaining?

This is gonna end badly, for everyone involved.

Kinda reminds me of the Tom Penders-Luke Axtell feud that resulted in
Penders resignation a decade ago . . .

Yea, this is a fun train wreck to watch isn't it?

My quick thoughts before bed:

Fred is right - this is going to end badly for both ends.

Leach - I don't see how he keeps his job after this. Myers wants and
now has a reason to get him gone, and will jump on it.

Tech - they will get what they want. And talk about be careful what
you wish for. I don't see them replacing him with anyone that can
keep them at 8 wins a year consistently.

Yea, bad all around, but boy will it be fun to watch.

These are the details I am hearing (both offical and thru the grapevine, I will
try to note what I know to be rumors):

Adam James was injured on Dec 16. He was claiming afterwards to have been
suffereing the effects of a mild concussion. RUMOR - This was based on his
doctor, not the team doctors.

On the 17th James showed up for pratice in sunglasses. Leach had an equipment
shed cleared out (Leach wanted "the darkest place [the coaches could] find") and
told James stand in there, on threat of being kicked off the team.

On the 19th James showed up to practice, still complaining of the post
concussion symptoms, he was wearing sunglasses again and this time street
clothes. This time the orders were to "find the tightest, darkest place", which
resulted in James standing in an electrical closet.

Adam James went to his dad Craig over the weekend and told him about this, they
went to the school (RUMOR - maybe above Gerald Myers to the school
president/administration). School officials questioned Leach about the
incident, he didn't deny the incident (in fact he said that it happened). The
administration wanted him to issue a written apology to the James family, he
declined, so they suspended him, which is where we are at now.

Some of the other rumors - James is supposedly a prima donna at Tech (if that
matters or not). He also has minimal playing time (stats have him as the 10th
WR), he could be unhappy with his contributions. I think you know the whole
story on Leach.

After hearing a lot more about this today, I have to change my mind. I don't
think Leach is going anywhere. First off, it turns out that it would probabaly
cost Tech a lot of money to part ways with Leach (the new contract is a bitch
for them). IMHO, I don't think the apology would have been an adequate solution
early on, if firing him was the ultimate goal. I think we are going to see Tech
play in the Alamo Bowl, sans Leach. James is going to quit and transfer. Leach
will probably get a wrist slap, if not just a finger wag. And come next Wed,
this will be over.

Opinions?
