I know. We don’t even know if any starters are returning to the Kentucky Wildcats next year. And the 2012 recruiting class is not filled yet. But that did not stop Joe Lunardi for putting the Kentucky Wildcats on pace for the the 2013 Final Four. Lunardi recently released his first look at 2013′s Bracketology and he has seeded Kentucky as the number one seed in Los Angeles and number four overall. If Lunardi’s projections stand to fruition, it will be a very familiar Final Four for the Wildcats. Lunardi also has Indiana, Louisville, and Kansas in the Final Four and UK could be facing a Indiana matchup in the Final and a Louisville/Kansas title match.
It all means nothing, but it’s fun to speculate. Kentucky’s bracket is interesting also. Lunardi projects a Calipari vs Tubby second round matchup and a Kentucky/Baylor repeat in the Elite Eight. Other SEC Teams? #2 Florida, #5 Missouri #9 Tennessee and #13 Ole Miss. And where doe Shabazz Muhammad taking his talents to UCLA place the Bruins? A #6 seed. Here’s betting that Kentucky fans sell out the arena they are in quicker than UCLA fans filling up Pauley Pavilion.
