Did I get booted form BPL II? I wanted to check a few trade offers I made
and I got a message that I can't view the page because I am not in the
league. I know I included Boozer in the trades, but come on.

Nope, there's a glitch in Yahoo and no one can get in, in every
league. There's a thread in the Bulls froup.

http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/

Based on the dates there, I can only assume that someone replaced
the basketball software with the baseball software (check out
the timeline in the "important dates" box).

Predictions for tonight? I say Bulls, coming off a back-to-back,
84, Knicks 82.

I see what you mean. I just checked into the two football leagues I play in
and one seems OK (figures, this is the league I have no chance of winning)
and the other is playing week 40 and everyone is on a bye as well.

It slowly seems to be getting restored - the front page is about
50% fixed.

I'm really pissed the Curry is still injured for this game. I'm seeing
shades of Timmy Talent in this guy. It seems the Knicks fortunes come and go
with rebounding and foul shots. Tonight we get both done.
Knicks 90 Bulls 85
Knicks go to the line for 5 shots more than the Bulls and out rebound them
by 6.

OK, they seem to at least notice they have a problem now. All the fantasy
sports pages say they are doing server maintenance. I was wondering why they
didn't do this from the start. How hard is it to link a simple text page.

My guess is someone deleted a bunch of tables in the database, then
said "wait, did I just do that in production or in QA?" Not that I've
ever done that myself, mind you. I would never...well, let's just say
that backups are a Good Thing (TM). :-) It does take a while to
recover large amounts of data from them, though.

So will the Los Gatos Redwoods be at the top of the standings when
Yahoo fantasy site is finally back up?

One ssh session looks much like another, doesn't it?

Even if you are right at the rack, you are one wrong KVM button away
from disaster.

I wish I could figure a way to link this to the Bulls...or explain why
I am reading a Penal League thread this year.

Next year...next year!

It's just not the same without me offering and cancelling ten thousand
trade offers for your Al Harrington, Artis.
