Now this has gone too far. That was a typing mistake and you have just
posted a comment about me being an anti-semite to this newsgroup. I guess
y'all were right. I will need an attorney. Like I said previously, slander
is hard to prove but Mr. Mandel made it easy by posting this to a newsgroup.
He will be hearing from my attorney.

Barry, you are taking this whole thing way too far. Quite frankly, you
are acting very immaturely. He emailed you because he only wanted you to
read it, not the rest of the world. I mean, you have to ease up a little
bit. You take what people in stupid little newsgroups way too seriously.
I don't think any of us here care that much what the hell you said to
him or he said to you. He isn't required by some law to love everybody
in this newsgroup. That was a pretty shameless attempt to win favor with
the regulars in the newsgroup.
BTW, I stop replying to that "1998 FA string" because I am sick of
replying to your doctoral thesis's on analyzing me and what not. They
were getting simply annoying. Now, if you excuse me, Southpark's
commercials are over and I'm gonna watch it.

That's bullshit, pure and simple. I've run into redneck dorks in the
South who routinely refer to New York as 'Jew York'. Typing mistake, my
ass.

About you being an anti-Semite? Yep, we were right.

You better get ready to sue the entire newsgroup. You will get no
sympathy here.

D, in no mood for this today

OK, first of all, I apologize for posting something unrelated to
basketball here, but I feel that the following is important enough
to share with the other readers of this NG.

As you know, an individual named Dave Pelland

Again, I apologize for the off-topic post, but this is necessary for a
variety of reasons.

I'll be sure to provide Mr. Pelland's attorney with copies of all of
his "lawyer jokes" as well as copies of all of the anti-attorney
diatribes he's been kind enough to post on this group. They should
make any attorney very glad to take his case.

Mr. Pelland would have a much better case for slander had he not also
posted his venom against New York and lawyers -- both common targets
of abuse for anti-Semites. As for whether "Jew Gardens" was intended
as an anti-Semitic slur, I absolutely believe that it was. Mr.
Pelland claims that it was a typographical error, but it strikes me as
a most peculiar typo when taken within the context of that letter,
which is otherwise full of the type of invective one would expect
from one so shallow. It's rather reminiscent of Dick Armey's
reference to Rep. Barney Frank as "Barney Fag," which was also (rather
lamely, IMO) claimed to be an accident.

Perhaps Mr. Pelland's hand simply slipped on the "J" when he was
typing this post. But I find it curious that, up until this point,
his posts and E-Mails to me had been remarkably free of typographical
errors. Why this one, and only this one? Perhaps Mr. Pelland also
made typographical errors when he described the members of this
newsgroup as "fags" and New York as a "cespool." (A spelling error,
to be sure.) Is Mr. Pelland a bigot, or simply a bad typist? I
cannot say with absolute certainty. I will leave it to the good
people of this NG to judge for themselves.

I can't say for sure, because I haven't seen any more of his letters, but J
is directly next to K and it is possible to make that mistake. He hasn't
make any other anti-semetic comments, so I assume that he isn't
anti-semetic. (couldn't say for sure) That does not mean that I don't still
think he is the biggest fuckhead on this planet. (or one of them)... ratboy,

I thought BSM handled this rather well. I don't think he was immature at
all. This individual from Atlanta obviously is a rascist. BSM has
acknowledged this for all to read and has attempted to cease communications
with the individual who is now violating his private email to further his
antisematic views. What more could you ask from BSM? He is a regular in
this NG and has every right to rely on the support from other co-regulars.
I have been reading excellent posts from BSM for two years now and I hope he
keeps posting. Whether I like what he has to say or not, he also always
confines his posts to the topic at hand...as expected. If this individual
from Atlanta wants to air his antisematic views he should take it to "that"
newsgroup. That is what NG's are for. Thats the most you will get out of
me on a non-Knick topic. Keith

his face right now...

offends you in anyway....Good....

Serously, Why the hell would you say that you will be telling your
attorney on Barry. Why don't you go to the Bulls NG and post the note...
ok?

Consider it done, Rex. Some things can't be ignored and must be
responded to. And with that, I've said all I'm gonna say on the topic.

My favorite part of the movie Spartacus was when the Romans captured the
slaves and they all claimed to be Spartacus rather than to betray him.It is
this unity we need against the neanderthal racist in order to off-set the
contagious plague of racism.Basketball is only a game.Lame Dave's
anti-semetic comments take any discussions here beyond a game.Dave,I am
